So two of our three draft choices injure themselves within a couple of months of the draft? Cunningham better be careful. barfo
That sucks. I was excited to have him on board this season, he seems like a guy with a lot to prove out there that would be eager to do the dirty work. I hope he comes back strong.
I didn't care for the Pendergraph pick and this doesn't do a lot to change my mind. As for the impact on the team? Negligible, IMO. When the team is talking about your ability to wave towels from the bench, it indicates that you're not going to play a heck of a lot. Ed o.
Absolutely not. He's not a charity, he's a professional athlete. If the Blazers have hundreds of thousands of dollars to give away there are more deserving causes.
I really hope this doesn't become a theme. The past three seasons we've have a player on the roster go down with a season ending injury. * 07-08 Greg Oden * 08-09 Martell Webster * 09-10 Jeff Pendergraph I guess Swift/Howard makes more sense now even though I think they really are a waste of time and money. Timing is a killer. The Spurs signed a player who I think would have been a great fit. He has tons of International experience and was one of the best players in the ACB at 28 years old: Marcus Haslip - 6'10" PF/C
Dante Cunningham has to have noticed that the door is wide open now for him to get some playing time.
On a positive note, the significance of the lost player seems to be decreasing every year. Next season it'll be someone on the level of Federico Kammerich who goes down to injury.
