    Wow that sucks.

    Kind of.

Are they out or do they still have more games? I kind of wouldn't mind if Spain was out so Rudy could rest up before training camp.

This is just the preliminary round, where each team plays all other teams in the division (Spain-Serbia-Slovenia-Great Britain) once, and the team with lowest record is the only one eliminated.

Spain should be fine, unless they play as shitty as they did today, in the future.

The person to blame for this loss today is Navarro. Dude shot 3/16 from the field and killed their ball movement. A choke if there ever was one.

One thing to consider is that Spain might already be looking at matchups in the upcoming round. It's just conjecture on my part, but they could have thrown the game on the purpose. (didn't really look like it, though).

Rudy has a bad hamstring. It's already been reported. I'm glad he didn't play.

In another game in the tournament, I have found a player who the Blazers should draft in a year or two. Even though I'm not sure he would still be a secret until then I'm certainly not going to give up his name in an unprotected manner. So, If anyone thinks he has a chance of getting a minute or two alone with KP, PM me. Or If you're just curious and I'll know you're a Blazer fan, I guess you can PM me as well.

Do you think you have some inside source? Every team in the NBA had scouts there.

Yuyaza already answered, but to add more detail there are four different four team groups. In each group they all play each other (3 games in 3 days!) and the last place team is eliminated. I'd be really surprised if Spain doesn't make the next round and I imagine if Rudy heals on schedule he'll eventually play. But, he's unlikely to play in the first round robin since the three games come so quickly after his injury.

In the next round they're seeded by how they did in the first round and go through another group play.

It's unnecessarily complicated in my mind, but I suppose it's better than having one game elimination (fluke winners would advance) or alternatively having 3 or 5 game series for each pairing (it'd take too long).

On the other hand, Claver did play. Sadly he managed to do nothing more than miss one shot in 7 minutes.

    Pathetic

You really think there's a risk that somebody is going to read this board and potentially draft this guy based on you saying he looked good? This is a message board, for discussing our opinions. People say players looks good all the time.

3 gimps and a 6'7" "PF". Ladies and gentlemen - your 09 Blazer draft! As Bill Simmons would say, just go ahead and light yourselves on fire.
