...cause my bedroom stank like shit, so I washed my clothes and the smell was still there. Finally figured it out...its the fermenting cat shit in the dumpster below my 2nd story window...ugh...gotta deal with it for an extra day due to labor day

...thought you all would want to know

Maybe try investing in a large bag of kitty litter and stash it near the dumpster. The most heavily scented you can find. Then chuck a few scoops in there when it gets ripe.

Or try to identify the cat owner and buy him/her some trash bags. Tell them they will never run out of garbage bags as long as they live in the complex, provided they double-ply the used litter. Be polite and friendly and explain the situation, and you may not even have to buy more than a box of bags.

Or get a big roll of plastic. Open the dumpster and lay it across the offending matter to contain the order. As people pile more trash on top, it'll create a barrier.

Is this a lot of effort and expense you really shouldn't have to deal with? Yeah. But warm cat shit is absolutely disgusting. You can hide it with Fabreez, but you are still breathing it.
