Dude is kicking ass. Sells only 500 of his bigger prints. Really has some interesting and exciting photos. They have been selling like hotcakes at the art shows he has done. Getting lots of compliments from customers and other artists! http://www.bryanmadsenphotography.com/ my favorite: http://www.bryanmadsenphotography.com/p260246743/e35b0d2b7
Really nice work. He must be pretty skilled with photoshop filters to pull off those brilliant colors. Wish I had that talent.
On behalf of him he thanks you. Just got off the phone with him and found out he is just got a year lease on a retail property to set up his studio/sales. Setting up all his stuff there and is done with the art shows. He's located in Lake Tahoe.
yup...he set up a 25 second exposure so that why the water looks like a painting around the rocks...Within that 25seconds that was the first lightning strike(that he saw) of a storm coming in. In other words he got really really lucky
Those are all very beautiful. I especially like the two California coast pictures - with the Golden State Bridge and the little cove with the gorgeous blue water. I'd buy something if I'd had any money; would love to hang that cove one up in a high resolution on the wall.
yeah no joke.. that is a freakin SWEET picture. I wanted to get into photography towards my later teen years.. but wasnt so sure I would be able to actually make a living out of it.
These look like HDR photos, which is a post-processing technique must more complicated than PS. If it were easy, I'd be making money on photography too
Your post made me go read up on the process a little. Pretty interesting stuff. Apparently Photoshop CS2 had some HDR capability built into it. I have CS3--I might have to go play around with it. Seems like a fantastic technique for getting detail and color in low light conditions.
pretty nice. kind of reminds me of Peter Lik, which has a bunch of branches....with the vibrant colors. he needs to do larger pieces! nice stuff!
LOL. Both. My problem comes from the fact that the size of my discretionary funds are reduced at this point of the decade from other points, and while I'd really like a 16x24 I'm not sure I can fork over that much. I liked some of the ones I saw a lot. Doesn't mean they'll ever be allowed inside my home.
Just got off the phone with him not HDR all single exposures no color filters He adjusts contrasts and tones down highlights (he said this is a very simplified description of what he does to it)
gotta sweet talk the wifey huh? I was on the phone with him while I read this to him, he got a kick out of it
I readily admit that her appreciation for fine art is greater than mine. And, while there are a couple of things I'll veto, she generally is much more affected (both for better and worse) by art and paint and stuff than I am. And we have chosen to operate under the cro-magnon philosophy that "it's the man's job to provide the house; it's the woman's job to make it a home". She considers artwork and interior design her bailiwick, and since that's what I paid for her to go to school for, I can go along with it.
