I don't have a problem with the way he said it, but I do have a problem with the content. It shows Rep. Wilson is either too stupid or too dishonest to be a congressman. Edit: and yes, I know "too dishonest to be a congressman" is kind of a funny concept. barfo
The Constitution gives us a right to free speech and protest. It doesn't say we have to be "right." That said, I think Rep. Wilson was absolutely right on this point. Liberals have been trying to include illegals in every aspect of American life, and that includes healthcare coverage.
But he was right, so he wasn't dishonest. John Behner just read on the floor of the House where illegal aliens are allowed to be covered under this plan. He also brought up the fact that--twice--modifications to the bill to outlaw their coverage outright were presented, and twice were defeated on a party line vote.
I think that when a President speaks to Congress, there should be no audible reactions from Congress during the speech. Cheering, booing, clapping, etc. during a Presidential address just seems silly and annoying to me. Shouting "You lie!" is way over the line, even though at the time, Obama was indeed lying.

I understand the kowtowing to illegal aliens. The latino vote will decide elections for the forseeable future, and to be viewed as being anti-illegal immigrant is to many to be viewed as anti-Latino. There's a throwaway line in HR 3200 that states: The problem is enforcement. They'll be admitted and cared for and treated like anyone else. They'll never be asked to prove citizenship and then instead of being deported they'll be let go when they're well. Reimbursements? Meh, that's someone else's problem. In the end, the government will pay for them.
You are apparently confusing emergency room care with health insurance. We provide illegal aliens emergency room service now, and we will presumably continue to no matter what happens with health care reform. Signing up for government-subsidized health insurance is a rather different matter, and it does require citizenship. barfo
When you don't require proof of citizenship to receive health care we will be not only offering them emergency room care, but full blown health care which will be paid by government insurance. It's health insurance through the back door. Why do you think language to specifically deny it was voted down? Read the proposed Heller Amendment to HR 3200. I know most on the Left think those on the Right are stupid, but a 2nd grader could figure out the loophole that's intentionally being created. I guess the Left thinks those on the right are dumber than that. Pass the construction paper, glue and safety scissors!

The fact that the Democrats TWICE in committee rejected speficic amendments which will deny illegals coverage should be proof enough for anyone that illegals have an opening to receive coverage. I literally believe nothing that comes out of Obama's mouth anymore. I'm not even sure he knows how to tell a truth.
