I just got asked to work the Blazers FanFest. Looks like we will be showing it LIVE on CSN! For those of you who can watch it, enjoy!
Yeah, that really doesn't surprise me. They probably should just let the first 20,000 in and do away with the tickets. However, Wells Fargo wouldn't like that.
There are people that pay for regular season tickets and do not show. Alot do not show for the preseason. Having empty seats for a free event should not be shocking. Think though they should oversell like the airlines do, then offer incentives for those with seats.
Having people who want to attend the free event, yet no tickets available, seemed a bit odd to me. As Tince posted, why not just open up the arena and let Wells Fargo blanket the place with advertising and employees?
Since there is no Halloween game this year, I was hoping to wear my new costume to the fan-fest... HCP can you get me on the screen if I do? This is what I picked up this summer to wear
What does that mean? As long as that doesn't mean "Go Fuck Yourself!" Just tell me where you are sittin'.
ugh, people really find the "shocker" comical..grow up Anyways, just got my tix today....finally get to make a fan fest since moving up here in 07!
anyone remember the blazers slam n jams back in the late 80s and early 90s at civic stadium? those were great. live music, food, slam dunk contest, 3 point contest, rookie game, it was an all day event. they had jay leno doing stand up one year. clyde dunked on a 12 foot rim. i was like 12 yrs old and was standing directly on the basket support, best seats i ever had. i got cliffys wristband when he was a rookie, rick barrys wristband, and billy ray bates said he would give me his shoes and told me to wait by the locker room entrance and he never showed in years before that they used to have summer all star classic games at the mc. mostly mediocre players would show up and a few blazers and legit all stars. they had a dunk contest with spud webb, the reigning nba dunk champ at the time, billy ray, clyde, and jerome who won easily. ah the memories.
For the record, we went last year without tickets and just walked in. They were not really paying too much attention. My 9 year old high 5'd Travis...he was happy about that
