Source Pretty much time to abandon the public option, at this point it's very clear the majority of Americans want nothing to do with Government run health care.
It only matters that some kind of option gets a foothold--a coop or a trigger will do. They can then come back and expand whichever program makes it through. It's single payer via salami tactics. Barney Frank had it right.
