Trash trash and more trash. Its known that MJ is a dick in real life. His competitive fires still burn inside of him. I can't fault him for that and I don't think AJ should either. AJ is trying to get article reads by putting up a controversial piece in a time that is supposed to be extremely awesome for Jordan and his fans. And yeah, I wouldn't want to be one of his kids, either.

*edited* MJ is MJ, the greatest he did god-like things for basketball, there would be NO kobe, lebron, wade, any of thoe guys without him, he is the greatest to ever play the game and if he cant be himself at his own HOF ceremony than thats fuked, the guy is uber-competitive, thats his nature, just look at kobe, he is pretty weird in person, when he is outside of the court, but it is what makes him great. its like anything really, look at Brando, greatest actor ever, he was a crazy guy, same with dean. same with picasso, van gogh, warhol. it takes an extrordinary personality to be great, to be really really great, so all you people complaining about mj now can just shut it.
MJ has been like this his whole career. I've got no problems with what he did. He's always been like that.
He's their Daddy? I just think people like to see humility, especially when you are on, essentially your final basketball hour. However, I didn't expect anything different from MJ. I saw Robinson's speech and it was great, I was never a fan of him as a player (not a Spurs fan), but he's an amazing person.
well what i meant is jordan revolutionized the game in so many ways that changed it all over the world, and his style of play is seen in all our top players in the nba today, all of them immitate his style of play, therefore they wouldnt be the stars they are today without MJ.

I actually enjoyed his speech. He could have went vanilla and said all the politically correct words, but Jordan went into a rant of sorts and opened up about things that motivated him and bothered him during his career.
I think you need to chill out a little, you've got a bit of a temper. MJ the person hasn't done jack, which is who is being criticized. He could have saved his little rants for some other conference it was a petty speech. Overall I thought it was ok, not as mad as this Adrian guy but (iirc) flying out one of your highschool teammates to bring up random stuff seems childish.
give me a break man, im just saying that mj's speech wasnt as bad as some of you are making it out to be, he is a guy that should be respected. and whats this about mj the person hasnt done jack, are you serious? MJ is a nice guy, he has a wonderful family, he adds to communities, he isnt some laid back, spend all my greedy money kind of dude. maybe some of what he siad was a little bit iffy, but i wouldnt go calling it childish. I dont have a temper, im perfectly calm, i am sharing my opinion just like you, and i think its rude to insult the man after all he has done for this game.
Hyperbole on my part I suppose. Well yes he's donated money, he also had quite an awkward induction speech and other issues with his family and peers. I've never heard of something like this occurring in that situation. MJ the man hasn't done anything for the game actually, the player yes. Again it isn't a huge deal for me either. No personal attacks no matter what your opinion is though, this wasn't your first time anyway. One can criticize Jordan or any public figure, that is a different matter and not an issue here. Who's insulting Jordan? He was simply quoted along with Adrian. I don't care who disagrees but I wonder how you know he's such a great guy. I don't hear any of his defenders claiming that, yeah he's probably not a nice dude not a huge surprise. A lot of athletes have that fiery nature, I concur with you on that at least.
I've actually met Jordan on two occasions. One was at a VIP room at this nightclub my friend used to run in San Francisco. He was getting wasted with William Floyd (former 49er fullback) and some other guys. He gave me one of those fake "how you doing?" gestures and was wondering what I was doing in his VIP room. Haha. I didn't even know what to say to him and just stood there in awe. The second time I bumped him in Vegas, but didn't really talk much with him. He's really guarded with people coming up to him and I don't blame him.
