Giants everything ftw. We kicked ass today. Washington stacked the box and figured our no-name receivers could be covered one-on-one. Problem is almost all of those no-namers are high draft picks and have the talent to beat man coverage. Eli picked apart their secondary all day long. And our D beat down their offense. They confused and pressured Campbell all day long, and Corey Webster made Santana Moss his bitch (both in their fight, and in coverage).

Hopefully Danny Ware and Hakeem Nicks' injuries aren't too serious.

lol @ the Eagles and everyone who was hyping them up all offseason. That team is not a clear favourite in the East, like people have tried to make it seem. They actually have some serious question marks and holes to deal with. And now they might have to start Vick for some games. Nice...

The Stokley catch at the end of the Cin-Den game was insane. I felt sorry for Leon Hall when they showed him on the bench.

Mark Sanchez was impressive as hell. It's not like the Texans have a pushover defense either.

Looks like San Fran is about to upset the reigning NFC champs.

I wonder where the "lol" comes from after we completely dominated the Panthers. Or are you just happy that McNabb got injured? Our defense completely shut them down, and Williams/Stewart, one of the best running back tandems in the league were not able to do anything in the running game.

Oh, your defense was able to dominate Jake Delhomme? Oh wow, colour me impressed!

Yes I am lolling at McNabb being injured. You guys don't play your division until Week 7. If you waste that early cupcake schedule by losing games because you don't have your starting QB, you're in serious trouble down the stretch. The prospect of everyone's NFC East prediction starting Kevin Kolb or Michael Vick at QB makes me laugh heartily.

So you need an injury to a team’s starting quarterback to make you feel better about your own team? That’s weak. I wouldn’t be “lolling” if Eli Manning fractured his ribs, but it’s not like McNabb’s going to be out for the entire year, the time table is 2-4 weeks. He may even play next week according to Westy/Reid, and given McNabb's history, I wouldn't be surprised if he does. I think we’ll manage regardless.

As for the Panthers, not only did we dominate their passing game, we completely shut out their running game, which you failed to address. Williams/Stewart were one of the top running back tandems in the league last year and they weren’t able to get anything on the ground today. I love how you play down the Panthers when I can say pretty much the same exact thing for the Redskins, who didn’t do jack last year. What exactly makes the Redskins THAT much better than the Panthers? Because the Redskins I know fail pretty much every year.

As for the Eagle’s being the “clear cut favorites” to win the East, I would love for you to find me a link somewhere to back up that statement. I’m sure some analysts picked us to win the East, but I have never heard anybody call us the “clear cut favorites.” Everyone knows the NFC East is one of the toughest divisions to play in in the NFL, so I find it ridiculous that so many people would make such a claim. But then again, if you have your sources, please post them. As for the Giants, I think you guys are probably the most balanced team out of the entire division. I’m pretty sure when it comes down to it, it will be the Eagles and Giants battling it out for the 1-2 seed (but we cannot predict injuries). I just find the timing kind of awkward for you to come out and bash my team, when we just completely dominated all over the field. But if you gloat and take pleasure in McNabb’s injury, then feel free to do so. I just never thought you were somebody who would laugh at a player getting injured, guess I was wrong.

lol, what does this have to do with my team? A division rival lost their starting QB and is faced with the prospect of starting shit or shit-that-can-run. I find that absolutely hilarious. If you can't understand the joy of schadenfreude, then we are on two completely different wavelengths.

You guys could defend a shit-on-a-stick QB with man coverage and loaded the box to stop the run. I figured that part was pretty much implied. Adrian Peterson has been shut down by teams that devote 8 men to tackling him. It's not a radically new phenomenon. Once again: colour me impressed! [/sarcasm]

Dude, the Eagles have been everyone's darling pick to win the NFC East. I've seen it on ESPN, the NFL Network, and almost every internet site. Do I actually have to scour every site's prediction page to prove to you that people have gotten overly excited about a few moves (Vick's signing, Peters trade) and ignored some serious questions with this team (Stewart's injury, Dawkins' departure, Westbrook's surgeries, O-line's injuries). This offseason's NFC East predictions didn't warrant nearly the amount of consensus they produced.

FWIW, the proper reaction would have been to mock Hakeem Nicks' ankle sprain or the fact that our secondary is still paper thin because of injuries. Not to get all excited about dominating Delhomme and criticizing Washington (it's not like I'm jumping up and down after beating the Foreskins).

I got you right where I want you. You better hope for a bad game from Brady.

Oh Mamba's gotta like that clip. Cutler throws what should have been a sure interception and then is shown yapping his mouth off on the other end.

And then he follows it up with another sure interception.

In week 1 I don't pray for anything.

Son, until I get ousted from the playoffs I'm not sweating. Just pray Henderson and my other N.O. punks don't turn out well in a future matchup. I don't have to start Gonzalez. ;]

And then he follows it up with an actual interception. Gotta give the kid points for persistency.

Honestly, I think the NFC East could go to any of those top 4 teams and I wouldn't be shocked.
