It's in the article. It is rather vague though, isn't it?

Yeah. This came out of no where. Interesting. Terry Porter must have not wanted anything to do with such a thing.

    More Seattle connections?

While we're at it, why don't we steal Kevin Calabro, and can MB?

That would be a huge step down for Porter but didn't Kersey hold a similar position at one time?

I think so. I think he was the first to ever enter that position.

I saw him at the Blazer game when they retired Porter's number, I yelled out to him, "your number is next!" (while I loved Kersey I don't think we should retire his number, I just felt like yelling something that I knew would get his attention, lol) Anyway he looked over at me and gave me this huge smile, I almost thought he was going to cry. He may have won a ring with the Lakers he'll always in his heart be a Blazer.

I think they ought to retire his number. And then raise the standard of which you retire a number on.

Sounds like a life coach type of role.

There isn't a player on the blazer team the earlier part of this decade that I would retire. So I think that affords you the ability to retire Jerome's number.

Really? I'm in the opposite side of this. I feel like we already have too many numbers retired. I remember reading something about us having more numbers retired than any other team sans Boston.

While I loved all of those players, where do you draw the line? Cliff Robinson? Danny Young?

    LOL. Danny Young.

No. No. Neither of those. But I think Jerome ought to be honored for what he was. And that was a hard nose, hard working, hustling ball player. He played the game the right way. He might be considered thee ultimate hustle player of all time.

Gotcha. I still think we have too many numbers retired, but to be honest I misread your post which is why I asked about Cliff and Young.

I read, "There isn't a player on the blazer team the earlier part of this decade that I would retire" as "There isn't a player on the blazer team the earlier part of that decade that I wouldn't retire."

I'm not sure how I did that.
