ouch, that sucks for Nover. That guy had so much potential, I was waiting for him to do something in the UFC.

disappointed to see Huerta give up MMA for acting.

Re: UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Guillard (Sep. 16th)

    Pretty good show.

Diaz's submission was predictable but still fun to see. Guillard just has no ground game and he doesn't seem to be improving.

Huerta was doing well until he got hit a few times and started getting wild. I don't think the UFC is impressed enough with Maynard to put him into title contention yet, though.

Condit/Ellenberger was a much better fight than I expected. Condit weathered the early storm and dominated afterward. His turtle defense to punches was a bit bizarre and it almost cost him the fight at a couple of points, but somehow he made it work.

Quarry/Credeur was awesome. Those guys put in work. Quarry said that legends aren't made by decisions, but that was a good fight that will help his career.

^ Yes, you read that right, Brock Larson lost, and CB Dollaway somehow managed to not get submitted. Also, Brian Stann surprisingly won the rubber match with Cantwell.

I was shocked at how much punishment Carlos Condit took and kept coming.

Usually a guy who takes that many big shots slows down, but he was looking pretty good in the 3rd.

Funny you say that. Typically I hate COCKY fighters, but Im down with Nate and Nick. Nate is so damn skinny you think you could just bully him around... But that boy can scrap. Guillard got pwnd. His power meant nothing and we all know Nate starts slow, wears you down and just locks you up.. Nates Jits is just sick...

(Phillipe Nover $20,000 vs. Sam Stout $24,000)*

Nover & Stout both got their "show" money despite the fight being cancelled at the last minute due to Nover suffering a seizure in the dressing room. He is reportedly okay but they are running tests to see what the issue was/is. Kudos to the UFC.
