Just got a year old laptop...when I go on this site and several others the display is mostly white, no background colors except the ads and banner...is this security being turned up too high or something?

sometimes I run into the problem where my internet provider is lagging, and it only displays the first couple of graphics that pop up (i.e., the ads) then freezes. I've found that resetting the modem and the doing the "repair connection" in your toolbar can help.

    Good luck!

Does this happen with any other site? What kind of video card does the lappy have? Are the latest video drivers installed? Are you able to play video games or stream media? What operating system are you running and as the other posters have said, have you tried another browser?

Black on the outside, white on the inside. Your computer is an Oreo.

Are you able to connect to a different network? Like a neighbors wifi or something else and see if it does the same thing?

Do you have your internet security up the ass? Try to change it to low and see if that helps.

It don't matter if you're black or white.

might be some weird setting on your video card resolution. go to the control panel, display...and mess around with it a bit. just make sure you remember the settings they are at...do this last before the steps below though...

try clearing your cookies and everything first....run anti-spyware and anti-virus too, could be that. also check if your anti-virus is blocking things..sometimes some block scripts....there is an option as well to not display images within the web browser i believe...in firefox, its in the content option in preferences, "automatically load images". some anti-virus if you install it will do these automatically.
