Jake Shields vs. Jason Miller was going to be for Strikeforce's interim middleweight strap but it looks as if Cung Le doesn't care anymore and will just give back the real championship.
Certainly it is the right thing to do if he has no intention of defending the title, but his fans must be a little put off that he wants to be a movie star bad enough to give up MMA. Then again, at 37-years old he isn't exactly quitting in his prime. Personally, for anyone that gives a damn about my opinion, I think he is a good striker who is hugely overrated and would get tooled by most ranked middleweights, including both of the guys that will be fighting for his title, so this isn't a big loss for the MMA scene. But it has to stick in the craw of Strikeforce that two of their champions don't really give a shit (if you include Overeem and his management team who recently took a swipe at M-1 and said they were thinking of canceling Overeem's contract with Strikeforce and joining the UFC).
