" dude! if you press your fingers on your eyes like this, you can see all these trippy shapes and colors!" NINERS/VIKINGS Alrighty, here we go. 2-0. unbeaten. undefeated. non-losers. umm 100% success rate. good stuff. good times. but before we all start performing oral sex on ourselves, lets prepare for a very real possibility. the niners have a very good chance of losing this week. the chance of winning is minuscule and smallish. or is it? the niners are only a 6.5 point underdog against a consensus super bowl team on the road. Brett Farve has been a damn pest against the 49ers in his career. all those playoff wins seem like a lifetime ago though, i mean Steve Young was starting at QB at the time. is this really happening? he is 11-2 lifetime against the niners in 13 starts. pretty good for a man with old balls. we held AP to 3 yards rushing the last time we faced him, thats not going to happen again, but i still think that Favre is going to have to make a few plays in the passing game to seal a vikings win. Favre actually has les passing yards than hill this season, so he really hasnt needed to make anything happen yet this season. the vikings have beaten cleveland and the lions, two of the worst teams in the NFL. the niners will actually be their first test of the young season and they should be fired up for this game. the niners have beaten two divisional opponents, but this is also a huge game for them and they should be amped to take it to the vikings with a physical gameplan. look for the niners to run the ball down the middle of the field, and possibly mix it up with a couple screens. Vernon Davis could have a big game in the flats with Minny putting 8 men in the box every play, so look for the niners to try and get him involved early and often. prediction niners-21 vikings-20
No! I can't be. I picked the Vikings in my survivor pick'em pool this week. I've already used Baltimore and Washington. I just don't see Minnesota losing their first home game of the year.
I haven't used Baltimore yet so they seemed like the best lock of the week against Cleveland. NO has to play outside in Buffalo which worries me a bit more.
Yeah, I used a safe pick in week 1 just to make it to week 2, so I used B more. I'm confident in the Vikings. I don't see them losing their home opener and I think SF comes back down to earth in this game (however, I do think they win the NFC West).
