S2 Blazer fans time to sign up for Yahoo Fantasy Basketball Leagues. New format with division winners and easier setup of players per week. I set up four leagues (NBAGM is full) this year as last year we had three leagues filled up so fast. Simple rules – have fun competing - no cheating or no abusive/rude behavior allowed. Sign up “free” for one, two or all three leagues. maaaaaan, espn fantasy is way better although i would join these leagues but sunday is terrible for me to draft I might have to bribe my ladyfriend to let me do this.
Why is ESPN better? I've been in leagues on Yahoo, NBA.com and CBS. CBS was the worst, there was very little customizing that you could do and the scoring system was bad. NBA.com wasn't much better and it was really buggy, stats weren't being updated and there were bugs in the scheduling. Yahoo seems pretty solid. It's reliable and it's not as rigid as other sites
I just like ESPN more because they have small things like, clicking a player's name will bring his stats and rumors up in a javascript window and it has live updates. If I remember correctly, yahoo makes you pay for live updates, which is insufferably retarded. Also, I don't like setting my teams per week, I'd much rather do it day by day. Yet, I go to where the people I know are, so here I am at Yahoo.
NBAGM and NBAGM2 is now full. On Yahoo I was able to create 4 divisions and create a 8 team race for the playoffs. Also, decided to go non-traditional this year after multiple requests of allowing 10 man rosters to of just 4 guards, 3 forwards, 1 center and 2 utility players. In other words for those of you that like to have 6 PGs or SGs playing OR 5 SFs or PFs at the same time you can do that in your 10 man lineup.
I set one up...have about 10 teams right now. maybe get to 20 teams...2 divisions (might do 4 if we get 20 people), traditional rules. Its a fun, laid back league where you are encouraged to talk shit! Yahoo: League ID#: 160328 League Name: The Beaver State Hoops Mania!
