I'm very interested in seeing us run the wildcat with Vick on the field. We played around with the wildcat formation against the Saints, and it was very effective.

The Chiefs are a good team to ease him in against. They haven't shown anything resembling a defense yet.

Brian, you think Kolb is good enough to keep the starting spot away from Vick in the event that McNabb's out a few more weeks?

I can't really make any judgments yet. Kolb played surprising well against the Saints last week. It says he threw 3 interceptions, but 2 of them were when the game was winding down and he was just airing it out because we were down so much. As of now, Kolb probably has the upper hand on Vick. I know Vick can run the football, but he still hasn't shown me anything yet in the passing game, so I can't really measure the two.

I'm hesitant to give Kolb too much praise though, because I know the Saint's defense is pretty shitty. But as long as Kolb plays well enough for us to win games, and doesn't turn the ball over too much, I see him retaining the starting spot. Reid likes the guy, and he is in our future plans (future starter or backup QB). I think Kolb has to really fuck up, or Vick has to really impress for him to get a nod as the starter. Vick's primary role with this team will most likely be wildcat formations.

I have zero confidence in Vick the QB.

Kolb continues to impress, I think it's a lock that he's McNabb's backup.
