Ime Udoka? I'm excited to have him back. He may not be more than a locker room guy, but he's a class act and could fill in well at SF or SG if need be. Just a good guy to have around.

:Edit: Never mind, it's just a page back. Apparently I'm just behind the times.

Because he's at best a third string SG/SF.

We simply don't have room for him. I think he's good enough to at least warrant a roster spot on someone's team, but he would never sniff PT unless we had an injury (god forbid).

When talking about the 15th spot I'd much rather take a chance on Patty Mills. He's at best a 3rd stringer but he'll at least develop during practice against NBA players.

I'm not so sure about Mills, but I am with you as far as filling the final spot with someone who has a chance of one day being more than 3rd string.

Is that what McMillan thought when he was the starting SF a couple years ago?

Sadly? You'd like it if he was our 2nd best SF/SG on the team?

We'd have a huge hole if that was the case.

    Moot point.

    Roy/Rudy/Bayless?
    Batum/Webster/Outlaw

There are just better players ahead of him. Ime would be fighting Cunningham for playing time.

No, I just like what he brings to our squad, and he won't get a chance to show it this year. I'm happy with our 3's.

What a great practice player though. He should be able to teach Martel and Batum if he gets the chance.

This team's roster is just a touch more talented than that one.

I will be a lil more excited when I know for sure he has made the team. There are no guarantees here. At least, that is what his contract suggests.

Having said that, I love Ime. You can insert him into the starting lineup and he will fit into a nice tidy roll without hurting you with silly mistakes. He is a good defender and he can hit the outside shot when he is open. He reminds me a lil bit of Bruce Bowen but probably not as good of a defender. But a better outside shot.

The problem is with Martell, Nic and Travis. We really don't need him. Which is why I have doubts he will make this roster.

Would we? Trout is a "tweener", Cunningham is an undersized college PF who has yet to prove he belongs in the NBA, and Ime is just flat better than Webster. He *is* the 2nd best actual SF on our roster!

Not that he will get the chance to prove it - so it is all a moot point.

Because he would be the 15th player on the team.

That's a glass half empty kind of thing, isn't it? Ime could be the 2nd best because he turns out to be better than expected (rather than the others being worse than expected), no?

And in fact, SF is not exactly our strongest position, so it is within the realm of possibility.

Although I'm rooting for Batum to keep his job.
