That game was on NBATV as the 4th best game of the year so I got lucky and it auto recorded on my DVR since it had Portland Trail Blazers in the description. Talk about a treat in the middle of the dog days of summer! I have watched it about 3 or 4 times in the last few days. It never gets old to watch.
I just watched it three times in a row, and want to watch it again. That is one of my all-time favorite moments as a Blazer fan. Can't wait for the season to start!!!
That was one of the bigger swings I've had at a sporting event. The "Yeah!" when Brandon hit the shot with 1.8 sec., the "Noooooooo!" when Yao hit the turnaround, to feeling like crap all through that FT and timeout, to screaming and jumping when Roy hit the 3. I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it.
No doubt. I wonder why the clock stopped on the foul? Blazers should have lost. That shot was fucking great. My favorite Roy moment ever. From hero, to goat, back to hero in less than 2 seconds.
I remember hearing Roy talk about how right before he fouled Yao he was giving this speech about "Hey guys, nobody do anything rash, we got this win, so just be careful!." Then he fouls, Roy looks around and sees Joel. Then Joel gives him the stink eye.
