^he probably is, in terms of skill set wise and position he plays.. but i agree they need to give a tad more love to bargni
Perhaps because Evans couldn't score in double figures if you locked him in a gym by himself for an hour. He is, quite seriously, one of the worst offensive players in the history of the game (we're talking Chris Dudley bad here). BNM
Because Bargnani is an absolutely horrible rebounder (one of the worst rebounding 7-footers in the history of the league), a week defender and a poor passer. All he really does is score, and he shoots a pretty low percentage for a center/power forward. BNM
Banks isn't much better. At least Evans gets some burn and is considered good at rebounding. Banks couldn't crack the rotation on a bad Miami team, and isn't good at anything except sucking lol.
Banks career scoring rate (PTS/36) is about 2x Evans' scoring rate. He also has a higher career PER. I'm not claiming he doesn't suck, but statistically, especially on offense, his numbers are considerably higher than Evans' numbers. And, stats are what is used to calculate these ratings. That's why Banks, suckage and all, is rated higher than Evans. That said, I'd rather have Evans on my bench that Banks. At least Evans provides a valuable skill (rebounding) that your team needs desperately. BNM
