    Ok, not exactly but it sounds like he's none too pleased with the thought of sharing playing time with Stephen Curry:

    And why with that defeated attitude would we want to go out and get him? Can't work. Well, way to give it some effort before declaring that, Monta.

    He actually has a point, both are the exact same size at 6'3" 175-ish lbs. They'd get murdered on the defensive end.

    On the offensive end I can see it working with Monta's ability to get into the lane combined with Stephen's jumpshot.

    Nelson has always had the approach that defense doesn't matter, its all about putting the ball through the hoop with him. I don't see how those two can co-exist playing together.

    He has a point? Small or not, he's going to get murdered on the defensive end because he sucks at defense. I agree that the lineup as a whole will suck. But he isn't going to D up anyone, so might as well try to outscore them.

    From what I've read today Monta sounds a little butthurt that the W's drafted Curry. Seems like Monta has wanted to get a shot as the full-time PG and Nellie has been saying he wants it (hes a BSer though) and hes probably mad that Curry appears to be the PG of the future. I've never before heard Monta say anything of relevance in an interview. He makes a good point but he and Curry will still no doubt be paired up.

    As for his availability, I get the feeling Nellie would move him for a decent price. Monta is endearing because he's so exciting and shoots such a great FG% but I think Nellie is unhappy with his ability to play PG and has said he won't be great unless he can play PG full time.

    It sounds like the warriors have no control over their players:

    Jackson unloaded his frustrations with the franchise, reiterating public comments he made last month that he wants out so he has a more realistic chance of getting to the playoffs elsewhere. The Warriors’ leading scorer and top defensive player was fined $25,000 by the NBA earlier this month for publicly requesting a trade.

    * * *

    Why did Jackson make his feelings known now and not before signing the extension?

    “Who’s going to turn down that money? I’m not stupid. I didn’t go to college but I’ve got a lot of common sense,” he said. “Even though I signed my extension, that doesn’t mean things can’t happen. Shaq got traded. Michael Jordan went to another team.”
