I watched courtside on tv last night from 9 - 11 pm as Mike B. interviewed the Blazers on media day. I found Jerry as a very boring interviewer, making no creative content or personality in his interviews. This guy has some education under his belt but seriously lacks any input to the questions being asked. I would imagine his term papers are just as boring just answering the facts and not much opinion.

After he dropped in the draft, his interviews were not very impressive either. The one last night seemed to me an attempt to hold back on his frustration. I would have liked to hear that he was working on his outside shooting, passing, or defense. Instead, his answer was "I worked on everything. You will just have to see it on the court, if I ever get there."

Being a bad interview does not necessarily mean he is a bad player though.

You were expecting gleeful handstands maybe? He's basically a waterboy on this team, a practice dummy.

Let's face it. From the second we traded 3 players for him his career has been completely derailed. In the end it will have cost him millions of dollars and a lot less fame and accolades.

I sure hope not. I hate how we always string the damn PGs on this team along. He's better than that fate.

Now we're judging players based on how well they can give an interview?

    Give me a break.

I think he was more focused on biting his tongue and finding the right thing to say rather than providing you a good interview. Look, he can't be excited that he is on the outside looking in when it comes to playing time. He did his best to say all the right things without injecting any emotion.

Pretty predictable if you ask me.
