Hating is a sign of fear.

We had the youngest playing rotation in the entire NBA last season and managed to win 56 games in a tough conference.

That banner is something to be proud of.

It was basically the Brandon and LaMarcus show. It takes two full years to recover from micro-fracture. Our starting SF was a 20 y/o rook with very little experience. Our PG was 'meh'. Our stars only had 3-years of NBA experience. Co-Div champs is nothing to laugh at when you consider our youth.

When it was the Kobe and Lamar show a few years back what did the Lakers gain?

    ...a top-12 pick in the 2005 draft.

Because I know someone will point it out, is it smart for me to assume you included the 2 wins in the playoffs in the win total?

And that's where the youth of the team really showed. The only player on that roster with real playoff experience was Raef LaFrentz.

.....Who was sitting at home in Iowa watching from his couch.

I like the design of the banner, but I dunno if I think it's worth putting up division co-championship banners. Not that big of an accomplishment.

Quite honestly I think the Division Championship banners are incredibly weak. It really reminds me of those cheesy "participated" ribbons they give out to kids who get 8th place (out of 12) in a spelling bee.

I think they should give all the fans a blue ribbon for showing up during the 21 win season.

Are we also going to have banners for the 2002-2003, 2003-04, 2004-05 seasons?

I'm thinking they'd each say, "PARTICIPANT".

When do we retire Omar Cook's jersey?

Lame. We didn't even "co-win" the division. Denver beat us on a tiebreaker.

You hang real banners only--Conference Championships and NBA Titles. Also, I wish we'd "de-retire" a bunch of numbers (#13, #14, #15, #30 [Gross, not TP] and #36) and just put them under the banner of Jack Ramsay's "77".

I agree with every last point in your post. We ought to be slightly ashamed at the number of retired jerseys this team has, when there really should only be three maybe four up there.

I believe we have all our pacific division championship banners hanging in the RG as well. Just following suit.

Actually we did Co-win, they just had to have a tie-breaker for ranking the playoffs. I don't think they should hang it up at the RG, I just thought it was cool to see our accomplishment hangin at the PF.
