The target times are for one set, and the + or - are for four sets. So you divide the + by four, and subtract from the target to get the actual times. The actual times are calculated below, in order of fastest to to slowest.

    Steve Blake +24. 61- 24/6 = 55
    Martell Webster +14. 61-14/4 = 57.5
    LaMarcus Aldridge +18. 64-18/4 = 59.5
    Dante Cunningham +18. 64-18/4 = 59.5
    Jerryd Bayless +5. 61-5/4 =59.75
    Brandon Roy +3. 61-3/4 =60.25
    Ime Udoka +15. 64-15/4 = 60.25
    Greg Oden +18. 65-18/4 = 60.5
    Juwan Howard +10. 64-10/4 =61.5
    Joel Przybilla +10. 65-10/4 = 62.5
    Andre Miller -8. 61+8/4 =63
    Travis Outlaw +2. 64-2/4 =63.5
    Jarron Collins +5. 65-5/4 = 63.75
Batum/Fernandez - were not asked to do drills.

So Blake was fastest, followed by Martell. Then LaMarcus and Dante, followed by Jerryd. Then Brandon and Ime, followed by Oden. Pretty amazing that LaMarcus was faster than Jerryd, and that Oden was almost as fast as Brandon.

Outlaw is still suspect. He barely beat out Jarron Collins and was slower than Andre Miller, Juwan Howard (how old is he?) and Joel Pryzbilla.

I think it is very weak that Batum and Fernandez get to skip.

Yeah, they've only been playing in international competition for the last two months.

Last year, if they "skipped" for whatever reason, they had to do the same mandatory conditioning "punishment" as those who failed.

So? It's one test. They should be in even better shape than everyone else and it should be a breeze.

Wasn't that for injured players who did the "punishment" when they were healthy? It said they were "given a pass" so I don't know what that means.

If Greg Oden was on your high school team, why wouldn't you just pass him the ball every time down the floor?

I can't be upset w/Miller. I'm quite sure he's probably not been through anything like Nate's test since his Majerus days. He has an entire month to get into game shape; barring injury, that's no problem.

I never saw the big deal when other players failed, either. :dunno:

I commented in another thread a few days ago I thought he looked out of shape. This test confirms it.

It also confirms why a guy with Steve Blake's athletic gifts is in the NBA--because he is one competitive MoFo. Tell him he can't do something and watch him do it. I think Blakey is going to have an even better season than last year.

Well, I was ripped/mocked for questioning Miller's offseason work ethic in July. I think you'll find there are plenty of posters here who will flip this around and ask what Blake's strong work ethic has done for him in terms of winning in the playoffs. :devilwink:

You'll then get a page worth of posts from posters who don't know the difference between correlation and causation lecturing you about correlation versus causation. :)

I really respect what Blake has done. Everything he done in the NBA has been purely on hard work. It certainly isn't natural talent or natural leadership or natural athleticism. He certainly showed up in better shape than Miller did.

I'm not really worried about Miller, though. Just like Blake, he's got a system that's brought him this far. He knows what he's doing.

Wait, wasn't that Shawn Kemp's "system"?
