Seems like we had this poll not too long ago. After reading the hype and seeing how much speed he added as shown in the time trial, I'm bumping up my expectations: 14 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 blocks. I'm hoping he can stay in for 32 mpg. His problem last year was constantly being a half step too slow, which led to tons of silly fouls. If that problem goes away, I'm expecting him to explode.
Ya, I was thinking the same thing, but I think that thread was a poll on whether or not you'd be happy with the stats they posted. 17 ppg, 14 rpg, 3 blocks, and 5 assists
Shots per game 10 Made 6 Free Throw attempts 7 (he will lead the team in this category) Free Throws made: 4 Points Per Game: 16 Highest point total in a single game: 28 Lowest Point total in a single game: 4 Defensive Rebounds Per Game: 4 Offensive Rebounds Per Game: 6 Minutes: 32 per game Blocks: 1.5 per game Assists: 3 per game Turn overs: 3 per game
He could average more. But on this team, he doesn't have too. All he has too do is be a dominant defender and then step up when the team really needs him on offense. Case in point, lets say Roy or LMA gets in foul trouble early on. That's when this team could use his scoring. But defense is where I think we need to see it. My prediction: 13.4 pts, 12 rebs, 3 Blks per game. Again, what's most important atleast to me is the rebs and block shots. I really want to see an increase in block shots and shot alterations. We have guys who can score. We only have two seven footers that are blessed with that kind of size that can give the opposing offense grief. Oden needs to use his size, his athletic ability, his overall strength and power. And Oden needs to be a monster down there. If he is this team will be fairly dominant.
