I got bored and made an iTunes playlist of my absolute favorite songs of All-Time, with a couple guidelines that I went by as well. 8 modern rock songs and 8 classic rock songs (it's pretty obvious to me which are modern and which aren't), and 1 song per band/artist. That's it. Here's the List (the list is in no particular order): 1. The Shins- New Slang 2. Led Zeppelin- That's The Way 3. Blind Melon- No Rain 4. John Frusciante- Unreachable 5. The Doobie Brothers- Black Water 6. Radiohead- High And Dry 7. Red Hot Chili Peppers- Breaking The Girl 8. Wilco- Jesus, Etc. 9. Green Day- Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) 10. Jimi Hendrix Experience- Hey Joe 11. The Beatles- Dear Prudence 12. Boston- More Than A Feeling 13. The Beach Boys- Feel Flows 14. Cream- Crossroads 15. John Mayer- Vultures 16. Simon And Garfunkel- America
I was about to say something similar. I love a lot of these bands, but can think of much better songs in their catalogues (except for 'Hey Joe,' that kicks ass).
agree with other poster there are better songs by each artist. And kinda cheating having rhcp and jf lol
Yeah, looking back on it, I would definitely do it differently if I made a list again today, although a lot of them would stay.
V.C. is my favorite Hendrix track so far. Not just cause of the poster that used to visit here, I just think it is amazing.
