Nice little dunk Bobby!!!1 http://www.nba.com/video/games/pacers/2009/10/02/0010900002_mcroberts_dunk.nba/
Honestly, I really did too. I was pretty stoked when we got him. Thought it was going to be a steal. But he just never put in any effort.
I thought that was his M.O. He had huge expectations going into Duke, but never really lived up to them.
I thought he was a huge steal of a draft pick for Portland and then went with Storyteller to see him play in the summer league and he was one of the better looking players out there. He certainly looked much better than Spencer Hawes, who put up 11.4/7.1 in 29 minutes for Sacto last season. He wasn't going to get time with Portland behind LMA, and Portland didn't look interested in developing him. Maybe he'll get the PT with Indy.
Saw him here in Boise playing for the Stampede. He looked like the third or fourth best player on the court. I lost hope. That was a nice dunk, but the hope is still gone.
McBob's biggest sin I think is that he thought he could coast a little bit since he was good friends with Greg; my guess is that KP and Nate saw the lack of effort as possibly infecting GO and decided to ship his ass out of town as quickly as they could.
So far, Indy has gotten the better of that deal. Then again, the point of trading Jarrett was to save Nate from himself.
