I would pay to have a quality online stream, that's for sure. I'm in a Charter serviced area so I have absolutely no other access to CSNW carried games. I appreciate people making the effort to stream online, but it seems like the streaming quality is getting progressively worse out there.

I'd rather listen to radio coverage than watch some dude stream the game on his laptop's built in webcam pointed at a SD TV.

I'm going to wait on NBALP to see if the Blazers are actually going to do it. If so, I'll just stream the games and use my TV as my monitor.

I just heard that. Blazers/NBA sure are cutting it close to the start of the season. I've got Comcast coming out on Friday. Would be nice to know if this is going to happen or not.

    Wait, wouldn't that be $3.95 * 82 or $323.90?

Quick is a journalist, not a mathematician. Seeing him try to work the salary cap proves that.

I am pretty sure the Blazers will give you a discount for buying in bulk...

and i think there are still gonna be quite a few games on kgw/espn/tnt, etc. so maybe they figure that people wouldn't pay all that much for all the games if half are on tv anyways.

in any case, it's a great option and something i'd jump on if it comes true

Hmmm. Eighty bucks for the whole season? I'd say it's worth it. It would be nice to just sit down and watch the game without scouring the internet looking for a decent stream.

If it were $80 for the season, that would be less than half of NBALP, but all I've seen is $3.95/game.

I would figure that they wouldn't be charging League Pass prices to watch one team online. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Anyone care to guess if there'd be a replay function?

League pass broadband from an SD source (at least the international one) is $99 for the season, with replays and all the games, even the ones on TNT and ESPN (in my case, only the games carried here in the UK are blacked out, which last season was none). So I think I'm gonna stay with that one if the Blazer's version would cost $80.

All the nationally televised games as well as all local market games were blacked out on NBA league pass broadband. Since I'm out of state, that was fine with me as I got to see all the Blazer games. And the replays were very nice to have as well. If given both options I'd probably still just get the NBA broadband pass for a little extra, since I like seeing other games and you can have three playing at the same time. I hope they still offer it this year...

I get the BroadBand free with my LeaguePass. I love it and use it on the road all the time!

If I remember correctly most of those LP games are going to be blacked out if your in the Portland area. I think the main benefit of going through the Blazers is that since they own the rights none of the games will ever be blacked out regaurdless of where you are.

My fear is that Comcast will sue the Blazers and the NBA, claiming that they were given exclusive rights through their contract to broadcast Blazer games. I'm sure their lawyers will define "broadcasting" as streaming over the internet as well.

Either that, or this will be the nudge that forces Comcast back to the bargaining table with the Dishes.
