Steve Blake's last season in Denver: 6.6 apg, 2.0 tpg Andre Miller's last season in Philly: 6.5 apg, 2.4 tpg See? When Steve Blake was last called on to be a true PG (and not just give the ball to Roy and shoot threes), he was better than Andre Miller was last year. And Andre is probably on the downside of his career while Steve is still a bit on his upside. Also, Steve shoots a career 39% from the three point line while Andre Miller shoots a career 21% from the three point line. Point blank: Steve Blake is better. We can all agree, right?
There's not a play he can't make. Check it out:
If that post was not made in jest it's a worst post of the week candidate. As Johnny Mac would say, "are you serious"?
Andre Miller's last season in Denver: 8.2 apg, 3.1 tpg When Andre didn't have to give the ball to Iguodala, he was better than Steve Blake. "Learn the game, then post."
It's posts like these that give me hope the Blazers fan community will someday overtake Raptors fans as the most myopic and least rational in the entire NBA.
Are you on the "bad" side of your bi-polar with this post? Dude. There is NO WAY that Blake is better than Miller, based on something Miller is KNOWN to NOT do and something that Blake is BEST at. That is like saying Matt Ryan is a better football player than Ray Lewis because he can throw a better pass.
If it was up to me, Andre Miller would play 48 minutes per game, but he can't. If you ask to which four he's better suited - Roy, Batum, LA and Greg OR Rudy, Tell, Travis and Joel, I don't know. probably to both.
Blake is awesome. He's going to by dynamic off the bench, and probably one of the top two PG's in the league - coming off the bench.
Nope I can't agree. The difference between Blake and Miller isn't just passing the ball. It's the ability to handle the ball under pressure. Last season, the Blazers were exploited because the defense would force gambled doubles on Roy whenever he had the ball. That would force Roy to use a lot of energy trying to dribble past the doubles or pass it out to blake and make him run the plays.
sorry speed... millers game is just better with that said... blakes ability to hit threes might help us on certain nights but overall its not close as far as complete pgs go. 3 reasons we lost to houston imo.... brooks killed blake, no 3rd option to score, sf position miller fixes 2 of those
I agree. It was obvious how badly the other PGs torched us last season. Also, watching so many teams play off our PGs to make sure Roy can't set up the offense.
Steve has an exceptionally hot wife. Because of this, Steve Blake is better. We can all agree, right?
