This is really pissing me off now. They don't even try. They need to try for home court or else they will have a chance of loosing. It is 10 times harder to beat the Nuggets is Denver because of two simple reasons:1) The altitude- Everybody says it is just a thing to scare the opponents, but actually the first 5 minutes or so it is hard to adjust and with the Nuggets fast break game it is hard to keep up with them.2) The crowd- Come playoff time the Nuggets fans go crazy. In a magazine(I can't remember what) the had the Pepsi Center ranked #1 as the best atmosphere which is 100% true. The crowd is hanus, Rocky(the #2 mascot in the same magazine) keeps the crowd into it also.
The kings are for real. I could see them giving the spurs some major problems in the first round. Artest has been huge for Sacramento.
Chance at the home court is gone. 'Melo had an okay game, but played only 29 minutes of which he probably was only in the game for 20 minutes mentally. They just stopped caring 2-3 games ago. They have done nothing to prove they can just turn it on. They better finish the last 2 games out strong.I'm looking foward to Boykins return. They need his spark and scoring off the bench. Eisley's done a decent job, but he isn't the same thing.
Yeah a backup point guard means a lot to the Nuggets. Same with the mavs. The spark off the bench just isn't there. Also Najera's energy has been missed from what I saw.
Hooorrrayy we open on the road :beerchug::closedeyes: :flex: :no1: I seriously dunno what to say about this... they (coach & players) were talking about wanting that homecourt but their actions do not prove that. Then Karl was saying somewhere on DenverPost.com that the team actually plays better on the road, because they're more "responsive". But I think it's safe to say they're pretty comfortable going to the playoffs no matter who the opponents are.
They are pretty good on he road, but much better at home. As of now they play the Clippers which has some advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that they, as of now, play a team with no real playoff expeience besides Sam Cassell. The disadvantage is that the Clippers have showed that they can beat the Nuggets numerous times before.
I smell upset if Nugs open on road. It's funny how screwed up the system is when the 3rd seed opens on the road. And to balla's sig, if Melo hit 100% of his last second shots, then I would agree with you. But he doesn't so I'd say he woulda missed that sh!t.
