I think the Spurs are going to be better, but I think people are overrating them. Of course, if they can all just stay healthy, they will probably be a much much much improved team from last year.

I completely agree. Honestly, I think the Spurs may be lucky to get #4 seed. But remember I am a homer. :P

I think he underestimates how good Oden is going to be...

I think that's the best thing for us and Oden. Let everyone suspect something lower, then prove to them why you are the #1 pick in a very talented draft. :D

I really dont see how any other team in the West will be better than the Blazers, except for the Lakers of course.

Did anyone else find Legler's orange spray tan a bit disconcerting?

Nice overview of Roy. The guy that is really flying under the radar is Aldridge. I think we're so stacked, people have no idea just how good he is.

He is my favorite Blazer right now. Obviously Roy is our superstar or best leader, but I can argue Aldridge is our best player in terms of talent.

They may end up 4th, but they know how to win in the playoffs. Down the stretch Pop will probably even give guys the night off to rest. Don't underestimate those guys.

We have so much freaking talent how the hell are we gonna keep it all? You have Roy aldridge and oden for max or almost max contracts but then you got Rudy batum ect who are probably gonna want anywhere from 5-10mil especially if they keep progressing. Are we gonna be able to sustain all our talent?

I think that Aldridge might be our most skilled two-way player - but as far as talent - a revived Greg Oden has more talent than anyone on this team. The only question is - will he be able to harness it.

Yes I agree. Of course Oden has the best talent on this team. I am rating it on what we see now.

good points.. They honestly are fine with positioning. They care about being healthy for the big run.

I agree. I think people are projecting a best case for the Spurs (everyone staying healthy). However, that team has had a lot of injury problems the past few years. I do believe that if that team stays mostly healthy, they're one of the elite teams in the league. I'm just not convinced they can.

The Spurs are the most overhyped team this year. Duncan, even if he is healthy, has lost a permanent step or two. He's still good, but can no longer carry an elite team. Ginobli's health is still an issue. Parker is hot and cold depending on the teams they face. And Richard Jefferson is not the difference maker they think he is. Micky D has been serviceable for the Pistons but wasn't all that effective in their good years.

We're no worse than 2nd in the West and I believe we have a good shot at overtaking the Lakers this year. The Spurs window is closed. Too much age and injuries on that team.
