Miller complaining about playing time, Roy talking about feeling like a rookie all over again, LMA still not signed, Webs still not doing much. It all makes me worry that this season will not turn out the way we all hope. Even with the bright spots, like Oden coming ready to play, I still worry. I was so excited about this team and still have high hopes, but 3 games into the preseason and my expectations are starting to take a hit.

I think Nate needs to get control of the situation. Nate needs to realize that his ridged thinking of how to theoretically have two teams is causing some problems. Also, even though the preseason is for messing with lineups, in this situation, I think the Blazers would be better served mimicking the regular season as best as possible and start giving players something they can count on.

I know I am probably getting overly worked up, I was just expecting to be super excited right about now. Hopefully things turn around and the team meshes.

This is where casual fans have an advantage...they don't over-analyze every quote, every pre-season game. Because, honestly, the vast majority of what happens right now won't matter a bit. It's easy, though, to give it importance when it's all you have to read about and talk about, in the world of Blazers basketball.

The main reason for preseason is to get the kinks out of the system, and work through the B.S.!

Or they are the clueless ones when wondering why their team is under performing when the regular season rolls around:devilwink:

Hey DaRizzle, you and I were supposed to have a Bynum v Oden bet, but you went silent on the subject. Are you starting to realize that you are backing the loser? lets get this thing nailed down.

It's a long season. If you thought things would be just right from the start. You were overly optimistic. This team will be fine. It is only three games into the preseason and now they intend to go back to their bread and butter offensively. In other words, it will start to look a lil more normal around here soon enough. Every team and organization has their set of problems and kinks they need to work out. The blazers are just one of them. Think of it as a work in progress or a project. If everything was perfect, it wouldn't be much fun for the GM and Coaches. This gives them something to work on. The season is brand new and it's a marathon. Just sit back and be patient. It will fall into place.

Starting this wednesday against the suns.

How so? If the team actually underperforms, these things will be pointed out ad nauseum. And it'll be justified at that point. In pre-season, all sorts of things happen that don't end up actually mattering...both happy talk and unhappy talk.

All the other stuff will be worked out, but the one thing I'd like to see happen is LaMarcus signed and extended. Hopefully it doesn't become a distraction for him over the course of the season if he doesn't sign.

I think it will have an effect. Which direction? I'm unsure. Something inside me thinks it will be a negative one. But it could fire his ass up too and make him go off.
