Both the Blazers and the Cleveland Cavs will be celebrating their fortieth seasons this year. It would make a pretty sweet story line if they both made the NBA Finals this year. Certainly more likely for the Cavs than the Blazers...but not totally out of the realm of possibility.

It doesn't quite have the same ring but I'm guessing it will be more like fortieth anniversary second round :dunno:

I think you are selling the Cavs short here, fellow. They made it to the ECF last year - and they seem better this year! :devilwink:

while I think every Blazer fan would think that'd be cool, I'm not sure anyone else in the NBA would care about that.

I'm not even sure Cavs fans would think it's neat.

I wonder, do Cavs fans think of us as a "sibling"? Of the 3 that came in in 70, I think we were the last one to be granted an expansion team (but we're obviously the most successful of the 3. By far. By miles and miles and miles). But do Cavs fans care that we came in the same year?

Or is it just me who thinks it's kind of cool to think of the Blazers, Clippers (Braves) and Cavs as "sibling" NBA teams?

I found out that all three teams were granted on the same day.
