They're shooting 53% on threes ... not exactly a bankable number (then again maybe we're not closing out on shooters -- if only I could see).
I'll say it then, "Enough of this bullshit! It's obvious who needs to be starting. Miller. With Oden."
You would think that with the interior defenders that we have that the 3 pointer is the one shot we would take away from a team like the Suns.
Plus we have twice the TOs, 10 to 5. 5 from the starters and 5 from the bench with Blake leading with 3 TOs.
I'm starting to think if we try to run every fast break opportunity, miller can be the initiator. But if it's slow we can still have Roy take the ball. Any thoughts on this idea/rule of thumb?
A certain amount of winning can be had by jacking up 3's, to be sure... but you're absolutely right in that success is an inside-out game at heart.
Absolutely. Greg Oden is the key to our championship hopes. Andre Miller knows it. Mr. Roy needs to get used to it.
He hasn't sounded nearly as out of sync as he did the last game. Which isn't saying a whole lot I guess. Outside of Outlaw, our deep bench has two points.
It may just be me, but the feel of this game just fees more... classic. I think it's the transmitters from the MC -- not as good as the Rose Garden equipment, tuned for AM radio. It seems to impart a warm, homey feel to me. I'm absolutely loving this. I just wish my settings on Audio Hijack (yeah, I'm recording the game) had been a little better at the beginning of the game; I've been tweaking them over halftime so The Schonz sounds good! Go Blazers! You guys sound great!
They'll get it sorted, it's just going to take time for this thing to gel completely ... but yeah that's probably one way to do it. Frankly I think Brandon is going to start adjusting to Miller's faster pace (to a degree) and will hopefully start figuring out that there are some easier opportunities there for him with Miller on the court.
