I've been wanting a consolidation trade for quite some time now. Charlotte essentially gave away Okafor for nothing.
    What would it take?
Blake (expiring),Rudy (young, position of need), and probably one more asset
I like Crash because he doesn't need shots and brings defense. He would also be able to mentor Batum. It opens up a few mins for Bayless and shortens are our rotation.
    Thoughts?

Add outlaw to that and I'm happy. I'm just scared Rudy won't be happy here that's my only reason i'd let go of Rudy

If he wasn't so injury prone I'd be open to a consolidating trade for him.

However, if they throw in DJ Augustin.....

A fairly young, true center that was only one-year removed from an all-star appearance? Granted, Tyson Chandler has some injury history and was helped due to playing with Chris Paul. But the dude does rebound very well. He also has a shorter contract commitment. So it wasn't for nothing.

Can you imagine if the OKC trade for Chandler from last year had actually gone through. That would be a VERY good lineup IMO.

    Chandler was never an allstar.

Wouldn't be enough salary--it's about $900K short. Blake/Bayless/Outlaw or Blake/Rudy/Webster would both just barely reach the 80% salary threshold for Wallace/Augustin.

I don't want him to come here. He is on my fantasy team and his #'s would suck!

    wallace would equal a title...

    outlaw, blake and batum.

i make this deal yesterday. play roy and miller at pg with one always on the floor with a little bayless while rudy plays sg.... then webby backs up wallace and howard backups la.

    solves lots of pt issues

    miller/roy/bayless
    roy/rudy
    wallace/webby
    la/howard
    oden/pryz

    wow

Good call out. For some reason I was under the impression he was during his good year. I remember there being talk of Paul, West and Chandler all going. Maybe it was related to an injury replacement. Regardless, I stand corrected. He's still not "Nothing" in my opinion.

Wallace doesn't play the point, but I'll take him if it gets Miller out of here.

I wouldn't give up Batum in a package for him, but if they wanted RLEC and Rudy involved last Feb. I would do it in a New York minute.

Yes put yet another guy on the floor with Roy that can't spread the floor. That will give Brandon, Greg, and LMA even more room to operate. But if it means keeping our bench guys happy then what the hell.

Crash is not someone that could be left alone, ala Pryzbilla, to double down on Roy. He's capable of scoring if left alone. In fact, Wallace would likely draw double teams.

Perhaps more importantly, he would give the Blazers some needed perimeter defense against two and threes.

That said, I think our window for getting him is over. I'd trade anyone outside of the big three for him.
