Crybabies. The season hasn't even started yet and you're already whining and crying for Nate's head. Get a grip it's pre-season. Who gives a rat's ass who starts anyways? All that matters is the wins and losses and right now we're undefeated, so take a mydol and relax.

right, but if said quick PG is icing on the bench in foul trouble because Andre has posted him up at will early on, then what?

I don't know how you can't acknowledge that Andre significantly changes the problems that Brooks presented last year... now the Blazers have someone to attack him back. A smart PG (like Miller) knows when to push their advantage.

The problem with your statement is that you say some of those teams only have 2 offensive options. That is purely not true. Their "other 3" are better than our other 3 offensivly, hands down. Every position. The difference being that those teams, their role players are efficient and can score when needed. Right now if we get 6 points total out of Batum and Joel it is a fucking miracle. When you run into the upper esechelon teams in the west, their defense will take away your first 2 options. Sometimes your 3rd. When your 4th and 5th options are Joel and Batum, they have won the battle. But if your 4th and 5th guys are efficient, then they relieve pressure from your main guys. They create spacing on the floor. Is Derek Fisher known for being a scorer, or more for a guy who makes a timely shot? The same with Bruce Bowen when he was playing. The same with Robert Horry when he was playing. None of these guys were kick ass scorers. But they made the most of the opportunities they were given by efficiently scoring on the few shots they got.

i was specifically talking about the spurs there.

they won the championship with a finley, bowen and oberto/elson starting. those three are no better than blake/batum/joel on offense.

you try to bring up horry as some sort of example, but he was coming off the bench for the last 10 seasons of his career, so i'm not sure how he helps a "you have to start your best 5" argument.
