just by being on the team, in my opinion, is going to help out Oden. I think he'll be the sort of veteran presence on the club to take Oden under his wing with nuances of the game, tricks, hints, etc. Building up his confidence. I'm leaning more and more towards wanting Juwan as our backup PF this season, with Travis battling Webster and Batum for minutes at the 3, and playing in small ball lineups primarily.

Also, I loved the pick and roll looks to Oden, where Roy would run the PnR with Juwan, kick it back out to Juwan, and then he would immediately get it down to Greg. We ran that one a few times when we got on our run, adn it looked really nice. Hopefully, we can work that chemistry with Aldridge and Oden.

Anyways, we can make this, unless there is another, the Juwan Howard appreciation thread. He's not going to score 20 points in a game this year, and won't get us 3 blocks or 15 rebounds in a game, but he will have a big effect on the team, IMO.

From the videos I've seen, Juwan looks giddy to be on a team with this much talent. He's definitely re-energized his love for playing basketball being around all of the Blazer kids.

No surprise given that he played for the Bobcats last season.
