1.) Significant improvement of road wins against winning teams.

2.) Significant improvement on Points in the paint.

3.) Better rotation of players. Come on Nate, don't have to sub, just to sub. If a player is hot, leave him in until he cools off.

4.) Better leadership on the floor. I know we were young last season, but I would love to see more communication during the games.

5.) Better rebounding from our second unit. I think this was the biggest thing that pulled my hair out last season. I hated watching us get out muscled by other second string players.

6.) More transition offense. We don't have to score the "Hard Way" each and every possession Nate. Let them run a little more.

7.) Better guarding of the guards. Don't let them beat you to get our bigs in foul trouble. I want to see Oden get more than 10 minutes a game. :P

8.) Outlaw, Webster and Blake = my x-factor. They seem the most effected by the new players coming in. I hope they can realize they are just important to our team and keep focused on winning.

9.) Allowing Roy to get some rest. He doesn't need to be the "man" every 48 minutes on the floor. Give him a few minutes of ball handling rest. I sure hopes he can play without the ball comfortably. Right now, he seems a little confused.

10.) DEFENSE! I remembered the 1998-99 season, where the Blazers were the #1 defensive team in the league. They had no real floor leader, yet they made it to the WCF all on defense. Could you imagine being one of the best defensive teams in the league, and having good leadership on the floor? Who knows, we may even make it past the Lakers.

Anyways, these are my thoughts. What are your 10 goals?

    In no order...

    1. Greg to continue his improvements in the post on offense.
    2. Greg to play 34 MPG
    3. Trade Outlaw.
    4. Nic to improve his 3 point shot more.
    5. Martell to shoot over 45% from 3
    6. LMA to get signed.
    7. LMA to get 20\10 per game.
    8. Miller to get 8 assists per game.
    9. Bayless to play 20 minutes a game.
    10. Roy to understand we do not need so much of him anymore and for him to get 7 assists per game.

Don't know if I like that one. I would really like watching our starters get more minutes. Having Bayless get 20 minutes a game will take minutes away from Fernandez and Blake, two players I think are clearly better than Bayless.

Nate get some T's for standing up for his players.
    Oden starting
2 or more Blazers making the all-star game
As many as it takes of Outlaw, Blake, Joel, Rudy and Webster traded for a high paid star
KP actually have the balls to make a deadline trade
Not be last in the league in pace
    Oden not to get injured
More games in HD on NBALP
Not to ever have to listen to the Houston announcers again when they play Portland
Bayless to overtake Blake in the rotation

    1. More communication on the defensive end. I want to see this squad play the kind of team defense that San Antonio and last year's Rockets played. The kind you look at and get kind of scared for your favorite team going against it.

    2. I would like all of the play-makers to learn to let the others have their time. It is dangerous having multiple ball handlers who can pass and create. Roy, Miller, Rudy, and to a lesser extent, Steve need to need to be comfortable not being the play-maker at various times.

    3. I want to see Oden staying out of serious foul trouble. He is going to get his, and he does get 6 to work with, but I don't want to see the fouls add up early where it takes him out of the game for extended periods of time.

    4. I want to see a transition throughout the season where Oden steps up into the starting role and Joel accepts the backup role happily, knowing that Greg is just too good to stay in front of in the lineup.

    5. I want to see a first unit that is fairly in control and more in tune with last year's team. It is proven. It works. But, I want to see a second unit that can and will take advantage of the transition game. A team that can throw multiple looks at you is dangerous.

    6. I want to see improvement in our Euros. Rudy and Batum both showed a lot last season. But they both are far from complete players. I want to see new facets in their games and marked improvement, at least as the season goes on.

    7. I wouldn't mind seeing Travis and maybe another player traded for a decent banging PF. The kind that does the dirty. I don't hate Travis like some others, but I think the team would be better off if he was replaced with another tough big. We only have 3 real quality bigs right now and a 4th would really come in handy.

    8. I want to see general cohesion. In order for this season to be successful, our players are going to have to be ok with their roles. Touches and shots may be reduced from last season for some. We need everyone to buy into that. The team is bigger than one individual. WE need that attitude that the Celts had during their championship year.

    9. I want to see Aldridge score over 20 points per game. I think it would equate to good things for this team.

    10. Want to see Oden make the country forget about any possible "bust" thoughts. I am not sure what kind of stats or impact it would take. But, I would like to see the sports world basically forget that thought by the end of the season.
