I have all 6 games of 1977 NBA finals (Blazers vs Sixers - duh!) on my Comcast DVR Motorola DCT3412 I. Does anyone know how to convert / edit from DVR box to DVD?? I don't. I'll pay reasonable fee for it to be done. Anyone??
Should be a simple matter of using a DVD-Recorder with patch cords, but maybe someone has a PC-based solution. In any case, once you have them burned on DVD, I'll buy a set off of you.
Do you know what format the file is on the DVR? If you can get me that info, I can more than likely tell you how to get it to a DVD player.
I'd love to get a set if you are able. I haven't seen game 3 and 4 since they were originally play. They blew the doors off of the Sixers in those to games and I'd love to relive that!
don't dvrs' and tivo thingys have USB ports on the back? I thought you could snag stuff off of them and put them on your computers.
From what I've read on the internet, you can only copy something when it's streaming through the fire wire port. Here is a thread..... http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=604142
redhot, this is semi off topic but could you take a video of the lucas and dawkins fight and post it on youtube? there used to be one on the net but for the life of me i cant find it anymore, must have been removed. it gives me chills everytime i see it.
No luck so far and read many many many posts on these sites. Are there no video techni types in this forum?? I want my '77 Series to be on DVD - damnit.
Tell me the model of your Comcast DVR. I'll look up the specs and see what it's output capabilities are.
the thread i linked walks you through step by step on your exact box, and lists the software you need, and includes pictures step by step.... assuming you have a computer that has, or that you can add a firewire port to via expansion card, it should be simple.
Thank you for finding the directions. I will first exhaust finding someone who has done it or is interested in doing it for me - before attempting this myself. I'm out of my comfort zone here. I really don't understand the terminology and such. But, thank you for the help finding the answers.
one recommendation: buy this: http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/ele/1429917381.html and do it yourself with patch cords.
