In only 21 minutes tonight, the guy had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. He was 5-9 from the field and 4-4 from the free throw line.

I didn't watch the game obviously, but this guy seems to be the real deal! Seems like Pritchard might have pulled one out of the bag again.

Your gosh darn right he is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

He is a great player. He was giving Millsap hell all night! He is the backup PF to LMA that we need!

Howard and Cunningham have made Travis 100% expendable.

The question is: Who do you package Travis with in a trade?

He looked good in the summer league. Looks like he might be able to translate that to the NBA.

Joel. That is the only way we get any value back. I would like to trade with Washington, get JaVale McGee (expiring fillers) and a 1st round draft pick.

Dante has gotten burn mostly in garbage time so I'm not really sure how you can project out his preseason performances to the regular season, but one wonders if it could be any worse than the current level of play Outlaw has provided? :dunno:

I'm for packaging Joel and Travis (or even better Martell) too, but I'd rather target a young banger PF. The hope is to have a solid 3 man rotation at the Big spots and I'm a lot more comfortable with LA at the 5 then Greg at the 4. Three players splitting the available minutes of two positions gives each 32 MPG.

I don't think trading Joel is an option.

What I like about Dante over Travis is, at least when there are rookie mistakes made, with Dante there is an excuse.

Beats me, but I'm starting to get excited about having a forward with some power to play when Aldridge can't. I would be super psyched if we were travis-less this season. There was a rumor that if we signed Millsap that we'd trade Travis to Memphis for a future second rounder. Maybe we'll just do that since Howard and Cunningham are impressive.

What do you think of this...

    http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.php?tradeid=5258842

    We become...

    Miller\Blake(2)
    Roy(3)\Rudy\Bayless(1)
    Batum\Cunningham(4)
    Aldridge\Okafor(5)\Howard
    Oden\Armstrong

I like it. 3 solid big men. Young guys in the mix. Veterans. A player at each position that can play another position.

After seeing Dante tonight, you could tell he has some game, but still raw obviously being a rookie. He got pushed around a bit on the defensive end, but offensively, he's got a smooth jumper. He's OK, but still won't be a big factor anytime this season.

He is really strong though. He will only get bigger and stronger too. He is a gym rat (or so it seems) and that rubs off on other players. We gotta keep him and Rex! They are good work out buddies that will push you!

Re: Dante Cunningham: Diamond in the rough?

I was at the game tonight and came impressed from what I saw. He has a nice touch to his jumper than extends out to almost three point range. He's definitely not afraid of contact and mixes it up down low as well.

If anyone's worried about who would fill in if Outlaw were to be traded and Howard went down, I think Cunningham could play some spot minutes behind LaMarcus. He'll definitely need some more seasoning, but he could turn out to be a nice role player.

    Dante's game is NOT power.

Yeah, you could tell he has a motor to him. He just isn't comfortable yet with the speed of the game. But he's certainly a nice prospect to have around and see if he could develop into a rotation player.

Re: Dante Cunningham: Diamond in the rough?

I was at the game... W-O-W! Cunningham plays so calm and collected. He makes great decisions understands how to play D and has a really nice J out almost to the 3pt line. And he crashes the boards. really he's everything people have hoped Travis would become.

Teh way he plays I could even see him starting at the 3 and fitting right in. I doubt Nate would do that, but I really am impressed.

It's definitely scrappy/hustle though, and he can hit jumpers. Can be just as good as a power PF, IMO.
