This guy is one of the most overrated players in the NBA. Every team he's been on seems destined to fail. With the Knicks playing some of the worst basketball in the history of their franchise...are there any possibilities that Marbury could get traded somewhere?I think they will have a lot of trouble with this guy and I think they might use that amnesty rule if they can....I don't know the technacalities of that rule so I'm not gonna sepeculate further on it. But here's what Stephon's contract looks like for the next few years.05/06 $16,453,12506/07 $18,281,25007/08 $20,109,37508/09 $21,937,500
he may go to minnesota or atlanta. i think if he's traded it would be to minny. apparently the two of them want to try things again. i heard that the knicks would trade marbury for griffen, banks and hassell. there may have been someone else from the knicks but i'm not sure. the salaries may match up because i think those three guys are cheap.
There are actually some crazy people out there who think that there is a strong possibilty of an Marbury for Iverson trade going down in the summer. All I have to say is that I want whatever they've been smoking...
It said in an article on NBA.com today that Allen Iverson wanted to stay a 76er, but I've also heard that Billy King has chosen to get rid of one of the two stars because the chemistry isn't working between the two; and I agree. I say keep Chris Webber, get a good center and point guard for Allen Iverson and they can become the Atlantic Division champions in a couple years. Think about it, sharpshooter Kyle Korver would be SG, SF would be explosive high fly dunking Andre Iguodala, then you have Chris Webber which the team would then be built around making easy buckets in the post, blocking shots and grabbing boards. Plus the PG and C from the AI deal. I could see Korver getting around 12 points about 3 threes per night, Iguodala with 15 ppg, and C-Webb with 20 PPG and 10 boards. anyways I really think this NY + Philly trade isn't going to happen because Brown wants players not like Steph, and Iverson is like him in ways. And Brown's already had too much of a share of AI. so i think stephon might go to Minnesota for KG, but kevin said hes a wolve for life... so i dont think we'll get any straight ideas untill the offseason.

Why the <Censored> would they build the sixers around a 34 year old PF thats game is declining? Allen Iverson is one of the top 5 players in the NBA!!! why would u deal him and hope to god that kyle korver can get 12 points when AI averages 30 a game? Thats so dumb man!
Use your <Censored> brain if you have one, C-Webb's game is declining which is true... but down to what? 20 ppg and 10 boards per night? that's solid. and AI has done <Censored> for the past 4 years. and has done absolutely nothing besides the 2000-01 season. they would get a good pure PG, a decent center and C-Webb will dominate more without AI hanging around his back. Korver is improving all the time, he's a sharpshooter and is already averaging 11 ppg this season. and Igudola is very promising. They dont need AI anymore. it just hasnt worked for 10 years. Like KG and Minny hasnt worked for 11 years. its time they worked with other guys like TWO new young guys; Korver and Igudola.
I guarantee you they need ai! Webber doesnt even give a <Censored> about that team! AI cares and plays his <Censored> heart out! Without AI this team would suck even more than they do now! AI makes everyone better, C-webb bitches about everything and only cares about himself
Ai walks out of games many times... I dont care if he plays hard on the floor, thats not loyal. even if he wants to stay a sixer.
talk about the sixers in the sixers forum...............anyway it's gonna be tough to move marbs because of that contract. so chances are he's staying in ny. as a knicks fan i want things to work out. most likely it won't and it will probably be like this for another 3 years.

There is no way the Sixers should build around Webber. He has a player option at the end of next year I believe, and he will most certainly exercise that. There is no way he will be a distributor from the high post. Cheeks has wanted Webber to do that all season, and Webber himself said he wants to do it, but the fact remains that every time he touches the ball, he looks for his shot. And if Iverson has done "<Censored>" since 00-01, I guess you haven't really been paying attention to his play the last few years. The team hasn't been very successful, but his numbers have improved. If the Sixers are going to move Iverson, they BETTER move Webber, otherwise the city would revolt. The only thing that makes the Sixers more likely to move Iverson is because he is easier to move because of his value around the league. More teams would be interested in Iverson and his contract compared to Webber and his contract. After spending the past 1.5 seasons seeing Webber, he certainly is more of a cancer than Iverson is...Either way, they need to rebuild, and I don't feel comfortable rebuilding when Billy King is our General Manager. Now, back to the Knicks. I know the best move would be to move Marbury, but how would New Yorkers feel about that? I mean, he is from Coney Island... but it will be interesting to see who Isiah trades, Marbury or Francis, or whether he even trades either of them at all.

Already averaging 11pg? Korver averaged that last year. You want the 76ers to start over with Kyle Korver and Andre Iguodala? Haha. Can you say worst team in basketball?
i'm sure no one wants him, but if anyone is that completely desperate for talent, someone could go for him. I seriously doubt it tho.
He wont go anywhere with that contract. No one wants his attitude or contract. He is clearly past his prime as a player as well.

Say the Knicks have only these two options:1. Trade Marbury; keep Brown.-OR-2. Get rid of Brown; keep Marbury.Which one would the majority of New Yorkers support, in your opinion?
