Hawks.Joe, Harrington, Josh Smith, Childress, Zaza, Marvin, Salim have the potential to be great.., even Ivey, Donta Smith and Anthony Grundy could be solid players..I love the team..Thy are all young..So I say the Hawks. Now time to explain.Joe Johnson has improved every year of his life. This year hes breaking out as a playmaker and a dynamic scorer..He will be an all-star, hes only 24.Josh Smith has improved so much this year its not even funny. Before this year he couldnt have hit a 3 if his life depended on it. Earlier this week he went 2-4 from 3 point land. Scoring 28 points, 7 boards, 7 assists, and 3 blocks. Hes 20.Childress has the ugliest shot i've ever seen, but hes a great bench player..and he'll have a solid career..I could see him averging 16-17 ppg in his career. Hes 22.Zaza is a great offensive rebounder, hes very passionaite about the game, and hes only getting better, he shows good moves down low also. Hes 21.Marvin has improved every month, and this month has been his breakout month..He can score almost at will it seems like when he goes to the basket..Hes a great rebounder with tremendous UP's. He rarely turns the ball over..He will be an all-star and breakout in a few years. Hes only 20.Salim could turn out to be like his cousin Damon..A great shooter!! Or he could be a Cuttino Mobely. Thats who I see him as..Hes got as good of range as anyone in the league. His attitude causes concern though..Hes only 22.There ya go..Hawks have more potential

ok you do you have some young talent but the knicks simply have more potential.david lee is a rebounding machine and is going to be a great role player. he could get over 11 boards a game when he gets the burn.channing frye was one of the best players this year and i love his shooting touch. he improved his post game which still isn't the best but he has the work ethic to improve.nate robinson is pure energy and heart. he's really 5'7" and he can throw down. he's got a really good outside shot, 40% from three.jamal has been really good the last few months of the season especially in april averaging over 20 a game. i think he's gonna breakout next season.jackie butler is a really good player down low. much better than eddy curry who has no motivation at all. butler works hard and has a nice soft touch from mid-range.qyntel woods has been having a career year since coming to new york. he's got great athletic ability and he's a good rebounder for a sf.

Obviously the Hawks, the Knicks are terrible and will be for years to come. The Hawks have improving young talented players as well as cap room whilst the Knicks have older, high salary players who nobody wants. They dont fit together, they dont have any chemistry and they are all shootfirst players. The Hawks would be a playoff team had they drafted Chris Paul, and in a couple years I think theyll be there. The Knicks on the other hand are stuck in the cellar of the league for years tto come because of the cap situation they have put themselves in..

But Marvin wasent a bad choice either, I think they'll both be all-stars

Ford and Charlie Bell? they needed a big man and chose the right guy in Andrew Bogut.

Sorry I worded that wrong. I meant like, Paul should've been the Hawks number 1 choice right off the bat..Instead they go after a guy who will be an all-star but they all-ready have like 8 players at that same position.

For me it has to be the Knicks. I mean I dont know how long it will be before they are good but right now they are god awful. When I think of some players who stand out you have the obvious Francis, Curry, Robinson, Crawford, Frye, Q-Rich, and even Woods. Wondering why I did not say Marbury. I think this because he wont be on the team next year. With Brown being the coach there is no way that he will stay on the team. I jus logicaly do not see it happen. Any ways back to the players I named. That select handful of players from the Knicks roster show that they can be a threat. But, under certain conditions. I first feel that ALL players on the squad need to adpat to the ways and coaching styles of Larry Brown. He has his own way, and if they don't like it, too bad play somewhere else. He has taken the most elite team in the game TODAY. Now I dont want people saying that I said the Pistons are the most AMAZING team ever, I am talking about todays generation. Another thing the Knicks must do is re work their line-up. To me they are not giving younger players the ample amount of playing time that they should. When they first were eliminated from playoff contention, that is when the rosters should have been re-worked a bit. That in a sense is contradicting what I said about Larry Browns coaching style but that would be the one thing I would change about him and his ways. In 2 years I feel that the Knicks can really cause some madness in the AMAZING Atlantic Conference (sarcasm).

Both teams have the young talent, but the Hawks have a nicer set up for the future. They'll have cap room in the upcoming seasons, unlike the Knicks who'll be locked down for many years. Then they'll be bringing in another high draft pick this summer which will add even more depth to their young core, while the Knicks traded their 1st away and instead are stuck with another huge contract and waste of money in Curry. The Knicks also have a terrible combination of older and over-paid players which creates bad chemistry and they just aren't able to gel. They do have some decent young players, but the truth is they're really limited with their cap situation. The Hawks however have unlimited potential right now and could very well become contenders in 3-5 years if they play their cards right.

I consider young talent to be 25 years old or lower. Steve Francis is 29 years old, he's well into his prime and cannot be considered 'young talent'. Jamal Crawford is 26 and I don't consider him to be a young talent anymore. Nate Robinson folks is 5'8", he's going to be a very good backup PG for a long time, David Lee is a nice PF but isn't going to be a star by any stretch of the imagination. Channing Frye is a nice PF prospect who is very inconsistant. Not an elite prospect but a 17/8 type guy. Josh Smith has all the talent in the world but I doubt he ever puts it together but he's freakishly young and athletic. Josh Childress is a solid SF prospect, not a star guy but a solid 3rd option. Joe Johnson turns 25 in a couple monthes and can be considered a young talent, he's a star wing player is finally figuring himself out. Marvin Williams has star potential, we all know that. Zaur Pachulia is listed at 21 years old but he's probably 23 years old, regardless he's a good streaky player who could put it together and average 17/10 in his prime. Salim Stoudamire could be a very good backup PG and one of the games better shooters but he has Jeff McInnis like problems. Sorry folks but it's obviously the Hawks.

i never said francis was a young talent and either did anyone else. he's garbage and most likely being traded. he sucks. you're right about david lee, he won't be a star but he doesn't have to be. he's gonna be a terrific role player that does the dirty work, something the knicks don't do. the knicks play better when he is on the floor.

also no one knows but jackie butler is going to be a good player. he's much better than eddy curry because he's a better defender, he rebounds, better free throw shooter and better work ethic. watch out for this guy.
