Uhh, obviously the Hawks. Here's why:Isiah Thomas has ruined the NYK franchise by signing garbage players to max contracts. They now have 12 players that are earning 5 mil this season. Their team payroll this year is over 123 million dollars. They will not be able to get rid of all these contracts. Therefor, they will not be able to sign a free agent for a long time. I dont see whats so great about Nate Robinson. He's an undersized SG who is forced to play pg. He doesnt have any pg skills. He has a bad attitude and people only like him because the kid can jump. Channing Frye is a good scorer and all. He has got a decent jumper and he can score downlow but he isnt a good defensive player. David Lee can shoot and I like the kid but he isnt that great. The good thing is that after this horrible season they will get a #1 pick, right? NO! They traded that baby away as well for another big contract with a heart problem in Eddy Curry who cant rebound or play defense worth a damn. Things are definately not looking good for the Knicks. The Hawks on the other hand have a good defensive player in Josh Smith who is a very athletic player. He is a great shotblocker and he can get inside and jam it home. Childress isnt a great shooter but he is an alright inside scorer. Salim Stoudamire is a very good shooter. He looks like his cousin over in Portland, minus the pg skills. Marvin Williams is one of the most talented players in the League. He is a very good shooter, long arms. He can score inside, post up. Just a great offensive talent. He looks to be a good defensive player as well. They got JJ who is a very smooth shooter and a great scorer who looks to pass the ball. They got a top 3 pick this season and they should be investing in a Power Forward. They dont have any truly heavy contracts and they are going up as a franchise.Because of the Knicks contracts, they should be the armpit of the NBA for several more seasons.Hawks easily take this one by default.

you're right about the contract situation but i really think francis can be traded possibly during the draft. the huge contract of marbury is probably here until it expires. 2 big contracts of taylor and rose expire next season. anyway i think the younger guys of the knicks are better than the hawks younger guys. nate can't just jump. he's a good outside shooter and he brings energy to the floor. he always gets the crowd involved. frye can be a good low post defender. he needs to have quicker feet. lee isn't gonna be a great player but brown compares him to hard worker bobby jones from the sixers when they won the title in 1980 i believe it was. lee's a fan fav and he's an athletic player. if the knicks weren't so far over the cap would anyone still think the hawks have more potential.

So who on the Knicks do you think will be a future All-Star..I could give you some good reasoning on why 2-4 players on the Hawks could possibly be future all-stars.

jamal crawford for sure maybe frye. i think having more than 2 all-stars is too many on a team. of coarse the pistons are an exception because they define team play. but look at what happened with the lakers when they had shaq, kobe, karl malone and gary payton. too many egos. for a good team i think you need one or two stars along with good role players.frye has potential to be a lights out perimeter shooter and bring it inside once he gains strength. i think once he reaches his prime he can average 18 and 10. not really all-star numbers but you never know.jamal definitely will be an all-star as long as he plays like he did the last month or two of the season. he was putting up over 20 points a game and playing good defense. his numbers for april are 22ppg, 5apg and 2.6spg. those are all-star numbers. his problem throughout his career has been consistency but he showed good consistency for the last month. he didn't do that last season and i think larry brown has taught him to have better shot selection and be more aggresive. he's a good free throw shooter so when he's aggressive he goes to the line more than he used to. he's taking more free throws than three's which is proof that he is more aggressive and his shot selection has improved.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BCB @ Apr 19 2006, 03:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>But you honestly can't tell me those three are better than Josh Smith, Josh Childress, Joe Johnson, Marvin Williams, Salim Stoudamire and Zaur Pachulia.</div>i said in an earlier post it's not just those three. it's also jackie butler, qyntel woods and jamal crawford.

Are you kidding me? Your too biased to even have a simple discussion with. 1. Marvin Williams 2. Josh Smith 3. Salim Stoudamire 4. Josh Childress 5. Joe Johnson 6. Zaur Pachulia or 1. Channing Frye 2. David Lee 3. Nate Robinson 4. Jackie Butler 5. Eddy Curry 6. Qyntel Woods You keep yacking about the Knicks players while never giving your reasons why you don't like the Hawks players as much.

    1. Marvin Williams > Jackie Butler2. Josh Smith > David Lee3. Salim Stoudamire 4. Josh Childress > Qyntel Woods5. Joe Johnson > Nate Robinson6. Zaur Pachulia = Channing Frye5. Eddy Curry is overrated and I cant compare him to Salim since they play totally different positions..Hes not giving reasons, because there is NO reasoning to support his statements..hes being a biased <Censored> about this..and hes ATTEMPTING to prove that the Knicks have more potential so he can bragg about it..

I think he wanted to be his own player and create his own team basically. Hes doing that. Zaza is good, hes got solid moves, hes a GREAT offensive rebounder, and hes got a passion for the game few players have. Josh will be an all-star, quote me. Childress will be a solid 17/8/4 player in his career. he might be an all-star once, when he peaks his potential. But overal he'll be better than anyone the knicks have. Marvin will be a star, every game this month hes shown us what hes made of, and what he can do. He has the skills to be a great player already, once he peaks his potential I believe he can be a 24/10 player..<Censored> that. And take some time to watch the Hawks tonight against the Heat, last game of the year.

Nate's getting 9 ppg on a sad team. Larry Brown almost sent him down to the NBDL, that says something about Nate.

The Hawks have much better prospects. NYKnicksFan is just really biased. He'd rather have Frye, Lee and Robinson than Marvin Williams and Joe Johnson who can average 20ppg.

He's a 5'8" backup, he's a liability on defense and has an attitude problem.
