Might have to play Bayless in the starting unit just to foul the other team's starters, it seems.

Interesting stats. I'm sure Roy's FGA/min will rise once the season begins.

And another big stat that I heard on the radio today. Andre Miller had 405 FTAs last season and Blake had only 75. I think Andre will be huge in the final minutes of games as he knows how to draw fouls and get to the line.

Yep, coming from behind in the 4th is a whole lot easier when you can score with the clock stopped. Between Roy and Miller, we should lead the league in 4th quarter FTA.

Andre def knows how to draw fouls in the post. Very heady player.

Andre had 409 fta last season
Blake had 402 fta last... well for his career.

Between Roy, Miller and Greg that should be near a lock provided Greg is staying out of foul trouble.

That's pretty crazy that Andre had more FTAs last season than Blake has had his entire career. No slight to Blake though, since I guess it's hard to get them when all you're doing is either handing it off to Roy, passing it into the post or standing in the corner waiting for the 3 ball.

And most of Blake's FTAs came when teams had to foul us at the end of games to save clock. We haven't had a PG in a long time that's been able to penetrate, draw fouls and just do the things Andre can do.

Blake has more games played than Free throws taken.

One of my on-going frustrations with some members of our rotation - they don't get to the bloody FT line. This is why people say this team is too dependent on jump shots.

Any suggestions as to why there is such a huge discrepancy between Howard and Oden on FTA/min?

Howard is spending his time directing and passing.

Dang. Blake really sucks at drawing fouls, I guess. And I bet a lot of Blake's FTAs are of the technical foul variety.

Collins is from Stanford, so I knew he's smart, but his stats are nothing. The Jazz kept recommending him to us for knowing how to play. Now I know one thing they're talking about is--his ability to draw fouls, while not attracting defenders to himself by accumulating stats. That's hard to do.
