Raptors @ Cavaliers, Oct. 28th 7pm, The Score/Fan590 radio Grizzlies @ Raptors, Oct. 30th 8pm, TSN2/Fan590 radio Raps start their season with a very difficult away fixture and then a very winnable home game. Anyone going? Anyone excited?
I am excited, I expect the Raps to get blown out by the Cavs but it'll be a competitive game against the Grizz.
dont have the money to go but im excited. nevertheless, i see the cavs running roughshod over them, especially in light of the flu bug that seems to be circulating around the team.
Tough game at Cavs, probably a loss, as for the Memphis game should be an easy win. Good luck in the new season.
I think it's all about demographics, from what I've gathered a lot of the regular raps fans that post here go to uni so maybe they have midterms, homework or some other lame stuffs. Or it could be that the Raps haven't had a lot of significant happenings to be discussed? Or it could be that, even during the season, only about 10 people post here anyways.
When the Raps go 20-0 to start the season, we'll be bigger than the Blazer and old school Nets forum, COMBINED!
Cool, an extra two threads a game. That'll just about double the traffic in this forum. Just kidding - good luck tomorrow. I'm going to the Blazer season opener with my son tonight. I can't wait! This has been one LONG off season. BNM
You know, we might be able to steal one from the cavs tomorrow, they play the celtics tonight and it's sure to be a tough game for both teams.
Could happen. He's looked great in preseason, but that's preseason. It will all come down to minutes. If he can stay out of foul trouble and healthy, he's going to be a beast. He absolutely OWNED Denver in the 4th quarter of that preseason game - and that was against Nene, Andersen and Martin. not a bunch of scrubs. Oden just took over and won that game for the Blazers. But, it was preseason, and just one game (although he's also looked great in most of the other preseason games, too). People were WAY to quick to label Oden a bust. In spite of the injuries, as a foul prone, out of shape rookie, he was still extremely productive on a per minute basis last year. He came into camp in much better shape, and has regained much of the lateral quickness and explosiveness he lost due to the microfracture surgery. He also has his confidence back - and a healthy, confident Greg Oden is a scary thing. Every player who has had microfracture surgery says it takes at least two full years to recover - and that's for established players. For some reason, people weren't willing to give Oden, as a rookie, that same two year grace period. It's great to see him doing well and enjoying the game again. As a sign of support, I've worn an Oden jersey to every Blazers game I've attended since opening night 2007 (13 games in 2007-08 and 14 games last season). I'll be rockin' my red Oden jersey tonight!
