So how long till he needs surgery aNd is out for a lengthy period? I mean if he cant make it through practice without dinging it... how is he making it through games where they will go at his shoulder? They should have had this damn shoulder taken care of in the off season. Anyone notice that the 2 players not 100% played in Europe this summer? yah thats gonna be a problem. http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2009/10/trail_blazers_notes_mills_arri.html
I really hope he doesn't miss any games with this injury. Shoulder injuries linger for a long time if not healed 100%....
i'd say considering hes played limited in pre season and has shoulder problems at the end of last season and hes getting hurt in freaking practice..... its past lingering
If he's hurt he's hurt and there won't be much else to say about it. Hopefully this isn't going to be a chronic problem, but if it is, other players are going to have to step it up on defense. The first logical choice is Martell who showed flashes of being a passable wing defender a couple of years ago ... hopefully his foot injury hasn't damaged his average lateral speed too badly.
I'll worry about surgery on Nico's shoulder when and if it comes to that. Until then, I choose to just enjoy basketball.
It makes the lives easier for guys like KP who is under the gun to thin out this roster. Guys like Nate that has to find playing time for everyone. It's an easy solution to solve the logjam problem if he indeed needs surgery. Way to go guys.
We'll it's come to that. Nicolas Batum will undergo surgery on his right shoulder to repair a torn labrum, it was announced today by General Manager Kevin Pritchard.
