Funny how things turn out in sports. Last year Batum replaced Webster... this year Webster replaces Batum. A torn labrum could be season ending.

Well this season is off to a great fucking start. This is exactly how seasons with expectations go down the drain. A torn labrum 1 day before teh fucking season starts? Nice job by the blazers front office and trainers. Maybe they should have looked at his shoulder in SEPTEMBER???????

Frankly, I'm hoping DC soaks up some minutes (either as a backup 4 or backup 3) The guy is a tweener, but he rebounds, he likes to get his nose in the middle of things and he's got a decent jumper out to about 15 feet.

Wait? I thought you kind of "hate" Nic ... or at least think that he's not very good ... how is this a disaster then?

David Coulthard was a very good development driver, and a pretty decent 2nd fiddle driver on a good team - but he never rebounded well.

Shit, this two sports following thing is harder than I imagined.

Wow, MIXUM, it's looks like Christmas came early for you. You get to bitch and moan and the first jump ball hasn't yet been thrown.

Some people do not need Christmas for a gift. I guess MIXUM is Hindu or Muslim - he was bitching and moaning before that...

:sigh: Back injuries tend to linger. He will either play all season at half speed, or they will have to sit him down for an extended period to let him heal up and get closs to 100%.

Actually the thing I am concerned about is back problems sometimes never go away. Back injuries have ended many basketball careers, and severely limited others. Peja Stoiachovich comes to mind, who tends to sit out a ton of games every year, and every playoff with re-occuring back injuries.

Fuck Simmons. None of those guys was going to make our break out team this season anyhow. It's all about Roy, Aldridge and Greg. The rest of the guys are just along for the ride.

Are the spousal support laws in Oregon better than in Louisiana?

If so, he might demand to be traded.

Batum out sucks, but give me a freaking break. Roy, Oden and Aldridge are healthy and now there is pressure on KP to make a move and get us a wing defender or two. Dante Cuningham gets to develop and Webster gets minutes. If this forces Roy to play SF (Where he was godlike last year 2nd only to LBJ) with Rudy/Webs/Bayless at the 2 I think this could actually help the team. I do worry about our perimeter defense, but that's not really a new thing.
