Name some of the best players to never win a ring throughout there career.I'll name a fewStockton,Malone,Payton.
Charles Barkley-He came so close a few times. He was drafted by the Sixers one year after they won, they lost in the east finals his second year, Jordan's Bulls beat them in 6 games in 1993.Elgin Baylor- He had alot of chances but the Celtics refused to lose. And even with Jerry West and Wilt they could not beat the 1970 Knicks team.Dave Bing-Underrated as a scorer.Adrian Dantley-The closest he came was the finals against the Lakers. Who remembers game 1 when he had 30 some points ahd shot 14-16 wow amzing shooting percentage.Walt Bellamy-Alot of people forget about him because he played in the same era as Wilt and Russell... but he was a dominating big man.Bernard King-I have a bunch of old game clips of him he dominated the game and he seemed to score like nomatter what shot he took it would go in.Bob Lanier-He was great at playing through injuries. He reached he conference finals twice? If in not mistaken but fell to the eventual champion 76ers in 83 and the Celtics in his last seasonDominique Wilkins- Was a great scorer. In my opinion he was one of the best scorers in league historyNate Thurmond-Career averages of 15 ppg and 15 rpg great stats. One of only 4 players to achieve a quadruple double. The closest he came to a title was as a rookie in 64 when they made the finals only to be defeated by the ?< not sure someone might want to look it upJohn Stockton-Definition of a "pure" point guard. All time leader in steals in assists. He came so close to a title several times.Karl Malone-Teamed with one of the greatest point guard of all time but like Stockton he came so close several times but just could not defeat Jordan and the Bulls.George Gervin-He should have made the NBA finals but his Spurs team let the Bullets come back from a 3-1 series lead. He never won a title despite some of the great players he played with Mike Mitchell,Artis Gilmore,Johnny Moore,Artis Gilmore-Had one of the best shooting percentages of all time at around 60%. He never won an NBA title but was an ABA champion with the Kentucky ColonelsPete Maravich- Maravich wasn't the first player to dribble behind his back or make a deft between-the-legs pass. But his playground moves, circus shots, and hotdog passes were considered outrageous during his era. Its a shame he had to die the way he did.

i'll just name a few, charles barkley- i feel sorry for him when he's on inside the nba and kenny starts talkin about his ringskarl malone- if he didn't get broken and have a bad season he might've won it riding the coattail of shaq and kobe, but since he didn't play much it really hurt them, and the fueding did toojohn stockton- didn't like them shorts but he had a lot of heart and deserved to win at least once......maybe karl malone is a curse???? lolreggie miller- great player, great shooter, had chances but could never pull it off, i have a lot of respect for him because he didn't pull a malone and gp and stayed with with the pacers his whole career
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Barkley,Stockton,Malone all part of the Jordan era.Did Ewing ever win one?</div>No. He also fell victim to Jordan's Bulls. Also he got <u>raped</u> by Olajuwon in the finals during Jordans retirement year.

The Pistons ended like 3 of the most recent retired players hopes of winning a championship lol btw - i love reggie, ever since rip has been modeling his game after that, except rip has already won a 'ship.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>raped? i wouldn't call a 7 game series rape.</div>Did I say the Rockets raped the Knicks? No.I said Hakeem raped Ewing.Olajuwon averaged 27 points and shot 50 percent from the field. While Ewing on the other hand averaged 19 points but shot just 36 percent.Yes he OWNED Ewing.
Historically: Malone, Stockton, Ewing, Barkley, Baylor, Bing, King, Dantley, Dominque, Gervin, Pistol Pete, Reggie and Gary Payton.Currently: Iverson, Garnett, Kidd. That's pretty much it.
Well, for the retired ones it would be Stockton, Malone, Charles Barkley, and Micheal Jordan. (Just teasing!) For current players I would say Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, and you can throw Kevin Garnett in there also.

Others to add for currently are Pierce, VC, Nash, Zo, and Webber, and for right now, Wade, Melo and LBJ.
I knew this topic would be limited to 3 guys until Ballah came in with his list and showed everyone up ..My choice would probably be Malone and Stockton because they were so great for so many years but always had Chicago in their way..
Nice list up there, that was nicely.. forgot Reggie.Nice list up there, that was nicely.. forgot Reggie.

They have more than enough time.
