Barkley? A GM? Seriously?! On a different note, Phoenix takes on yet another Blazers castoff. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nba/2010141578_nbanotes27.html
I heard them talking about trying to get Ime again hypothetically and it sounded like we would be at the bottom of the list because of our good record.
I just thought it was first claimed first get the player but the way it's worded thinks maybe there is a different process.
I think when Collins was waived, there's a 48-hour window where other teams can make their claim. If the more than one team claims him, then the team with the worst record gets him.
I believe they're based on record (or if before the season, prior year record). If the Suns and Mavericks (for example) both claimed Collins, Phoenix would be "awarded" the claim because Dallas had a better record last year.
All the GM's play a drinking game to decide who gets first pick of everyone else's cast off scrubs. It's a launch the season affair.
Will the moron be a GM before or after he's Governor of Alabama? He used to say he'd run as a Republican, then years later changed it to Democrat. It's strange that players don't get to negotiate which team they will play for when they clear waivers (if more than one team is interested).
