I don't have any problem with someone stating an unpopular opinion. My opinions on Blake and Outlaw and Nate are unpopular with many people on here. I think that since there were a lot of responses (many serious), there isn't a problem for me. If there are for others, I understand. But the "trolling" moniker getting tossed around so much is getting a bit trite. I expect better from the witty geniuses I know most of you are.
I think the issue as many see it is there's a difference between having an unpopular opinion, believing that, and stating it, , and starting threads with unpopular opinions just for the sake of it. I think the difference is clear to many in here.
Well I expect less, due to the fact that we are in a deflationary debt spiral...oh sorry wrong board. (Actually I'm more worried about out of control inflation next year +). I'm not sure we have any trolls on this board believe it or not. Just widely divergent opinions. Now there are definitely some posters that like to yank the chain of other posters for sure. There are also ridiculous homers and everything in between. Honest to goodness trolls (guys who are just F'ing with other posters and don't believe a word they post) who are 24/7 trolls and not just chain yankers...I don't see it. Maybe I'm wrong. Simmons is the Troll King and actually is due for some Karmic rebound for his injury gloating (Griffin, Oden, Bynum)
And it's not clear to the rest of us. If we don't want to communicate with ANY poster, we simply don't. I fail to see how or why people are so sure that they are right and there's been a troll for years and years in this community that they have to keep calling him a troll and/or telling people not to respond to him. It strikes me as very strange. Ed O.
Hey, it's also strange to me that people get annoyed with someone trolling, and choose to respond as opposed to ignoring him as well, but what can you do?
Find the stupidest thing the "trolls" say, and quote them in your sig. I'm waiting for a couple more good games by Greg, and I'll be putting together my sig.
