Alot of our guys made big plays down the stretch. Jamison came alive in the 4th, I thought Jeffries and Butler did a good job maintaining their ground defending LeBron, and Gil made the game-winning play on D. We needed to take one of these 2, to head into DC where the crowd is by our side. By the way, that game was full of playoff intensity, comebacks, teamwork, defense, and clutch plays.

Wow Drew Gooden played amazing24 points on 92% shooting (11/12), 16 boards<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Lebron James was awful in this game. I guess that game meant nothing Also I wouldn't exactly call 26 and 9 a "Horrible" Game. Although only 2 assists and 10 turnovers while shooting 28%%Ouch........
Nice job by Washington coming out with the win, watching the game, I was really impressed by the way Jefferies has been playing, he caused havoc on the defensive end..Also, I think Gooden has been playing excellent ball in both games, matter of fact. I was puzzled that they only played him 18 minutes in game one after he dominated the glass in the little time he played..
So far Lebron James is playing decently but the rest of the Cavaliers team is playing like crap. The shooters are not hitting the open shots they are getting, they are turning the ball over(even Lebron James is getting in on this with two or three already), taking bad shots and playing terrible. Z is the most dissapointhing missing layups, letting Haywood push him around, and not helping out at all. Z has shot two fadaways so far, and as a big man he should never shoot a fade away, he should be leaning in to shoot so he can get Haywood and whoever else to foul. Defensively he isn't getting rebounds, and is letting the smaller men of the Wizards come into the paint without showing any presence. The Wizards in fairness are not playing well either. They are turning the ball over, not shooting well, and letting Lebron James get to the whole as he pleases. Haywood nor anyone else is really stepping up to help Butler who is really trying to guard James. Butler has really been playing well, taking good shots, getting to the rim, and playing decent enough defense. The rest of the team needs to help out, take good shots, and keep up the offensive rebounding they are doing a good job of.And did anyone else see the move Butler put on James? It completely broke James down, i thought it was such an awesome move.
That move by Butler was awesome, the spin move was so quick and the hangtime on that layup was just outstanding.Anyways, I'm not pleased with the Wiz' defense. LeBron is getting his, but that was going to happen anyway. But LeBron is the only one contributing on the offensive end for the Cavs, so we should be up by more imo. We have a balanced offensive attack with Arenas-Butler-Jamison-Daniels vs just LeBron. And we're still only up eight. The thing is, we're just as sloppy with turnovers as Cleveland right now. That's the only thing we're doing wrong besides our interior defense. It's a comfortable lead, but still Cleveland can easily come back with the perimeter shooters they have. 58-50 Wiz up.
Game over 97-96. LeBron hit a huge shot with 5.7 seconds to go and Arenas missed a open 3 to win the game.Clevelands first road win since 1995.
LeBron's not clutch. Only 14 4th Quarter points. The game winner. NBA Playoff record for most poitns in a Road Playoff debut. LeBron's not clutch
OMFG!!!! LEBRON JAMES. Th guy is sucha freak. His team was cold the whole game. He carried his team on his back the whole game, scored 41 points, hit the game winning shot. And the funny thing is people will still say that he isnt clutch.
You know LeBron traveled on that last play, after he jump-stopped, and then took 2 extra steps. If you dont believe me, look at the replay. Its obvious the refs wont call it on him though. This loss hurts real bad. Now we're probably going to lose the series. Cleveland is going to gain alot of momentum after this game, and I wouldnt be suprised if they came out strong on Sunday. But really, it was the LeBron Show for the Cavs. No one else really did anything, Hughes hit a couple of clutch 3s for them, but thats about. Z fouled out mid-way through the 4th. Daniels and Jamison disappeared, so did Caron after his play in the 3rd. Gil was the only one making big shots, and Ruffin, who got that big block and tip-in, but also screwed up badly on that catch from Arenas. I knew he wasnt going to finish. Key stat explaining the reason we lost: 11 assists, 18 turnovers. Thats horrible, and it really states the fact that we're just a jump shooting team. While the timeout was going on after LeBron's travel play, I thought to myself, we arent going to win this. Simply because of the fact that Gil was going to get tired after playing 46 mins in the game. He would be the go-to guy obviously, but I just dont know how he would make the shot. Then I realized after the timeout, on the inbound pass to Jeffries and then back to Gil, he WAS WIDE OPEN. As the ball sailed through the air, I thought it was going to drop in. It was just one of the moments. It rattles in and out of the rim and we lose. My question is: Why didnt Gil just drive to the hoop? There was still enough time, and he would have been obviously fouled. I guess it was just pure instinct to shoot the ball when you're THAT wide open. This one really hurt, fellas. Real bad.
Because he got the ball bac with about 1 and a half seconds left. Really no time to try anything else when it gets down to that. You just have to shoot it.
I don't think he traveled right there. After he jumped he might've landed on the floor before he took his shot and that would've been a travel right? Well it doesen't matter anyway.
There are so many travels that are not called through out the game, going both ways, this one travel should not be so worried about. The fact is the Wizards should have never allowed the game to be that close for this play to happen. The Cavaliers did not play well at all, with the exception of Lebron James. Z was horrible, and is just too soft down low. He was getting pushed around by Haywood the entire game, shooting fadeaways, and not being a dominate 7 footer that he should be. Larry Hughes did hit a couple of big three's, but i really feel he hurt the Cavs more than he helped them. He ruined fast break opurtunites, took bad shots with people in his face, and justdidn't play well at all. The three point shooters were not hitting anything, and the offense didn't seem to be in sinc the entire game. This should have been the Wizards game, they should have won by much more, but they didn't.
I was at this game. The refree was biased towards cavs. You should've seen some of the fouls that the Cavs did in the third that weren't called, or the offensive fouls whcih were called on us. Either way it was a big hurter at the verizon center.
Please. They could have easily called a charge on that last Arenas play but Arenas got a 3 point play. Sorry but you just cant stop the King.
